    Alternatively, you can probably also use PVC and fittings to create this trellis instead of electrical metallic tubing. PVC pipes are lighter in weight and less expensive probably. Thanks for sharing your video.

    At 1:32 minutes into this video, do I see white netting over your trellis structure? It looks like it's completely enclosed with mosquito netting. Did you make it yourself? Where did you order your supplies? By the way, I ordered a lot of your seeds and every one sprouted in just a couple of days! Great seeds! Thank you!

    Thanks for sharing your experience~! Get ✔! One serious question: where can I buy the EMT tee to support the lower bar? I tried HD and Lowe's but didn't find the one in your video, please help, thanks.

      Hi Biotester, please refer to this link.
      www.ysbw.com/Canopy-Fittings-3-4-Inch-s/6.htm
      They have almost every type of EMT fitting you may use. They price is great but shipping is high because this metal is very heavy.
      Good luck with your trellis!

    Wow your garden looks very nice, Thank you so much for your detail in the video and I can not wait to see the next video. I live in North Florida, when can I stat Chayote and wing bean?

    • @AsianGarden2Table
      @AsianGarden2Table  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Terry Lanh
      you can start wing bean now if you want to have bean this year. You can start Chayote now too but you may not have fruits this year. Next year, Chayote will continue to grow and fruit in spring and autumn.
      BTW, I already posted video about how to build my trellis structure. Here bellow is the link:

    • @kentnorman5298

      Sorry for late reply, we use jute twine for the trellis. Thanks for watching!

    • @louannepre9728
      @louannepre9728 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Kent how thick is the jute twine? 1mm? 2mm?

    • @kentnorman5298
      @kentnorman5298 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@louannepre9728 You can use jute, sisal, or even cotton twine, with a rated load for what you are growing. We typically use one that is 8lb working load, like this one:
      Everbilt #21 x 525 ft. Natural Twisted Sisal Twine

    Does the metal bars get too hot that it burns the vegetable?

  • @Rose-wo8bh
    @Rose-wo8bh 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Are you cutting the vines when they reach the top? I want to build this trellis and wanted to know if cutting it will stop it from growing???? Could you show us a melon video?

    • @AsianGarden2Table
      @AsianGarden2Table  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Rose Blake
      Yes, you should trim the tips when they reach the top or the vines will tangle into a mess and waste the nutrients.
      I will try to make a melon video this year :)

    • @Rose-wo8bh
      @Rose-wo8bh 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh great! I'm getting my husband to get the materials tomorrow to create the trellis. Here in Texas, they say not to plant melons until April, so I have time to prepare the trellis and soil. Thanks for your videos...!
