      Now that you mention it.... sour patch kids have been on my mind since starting the build. Lol.

    Great work, really looking forward to the final presentation😊 Your videos are always fun to watch, love the relaxing feel you create with your own thoughts (beyond the project itself), the shots of your area and your background music. Thumbs up! 👍 PS: Merry christmas!

      Greatly appreciated Chris! These frantic builds make for coffee fueled videos. I end up wandering the area filming at random. I'm that oblivious guy with a camera out on my block. Lol. Appreciate you man! Have a beautiful Christmas!

    After seeing that lovely cherry red restored and then hearing the words "blue" and then "green glitter" I thought "Oh please...no", but....that is COOL. Looking forward to part II.

      @breilly66  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Totally! Thing is, some of the best guitars I've ever played were repaired necks. So lately I have been snapping up snapped stuff. Good stuff for cheap!

    What a great color choice for that SG. You are a master at your craft. And let me take a second to acknowledge your skill with that dremel too!
    So Gracey’s doesn’t react with other paints, huh? I was always under the impression that if you tried to spray over nitro with something that isn’t explicitly nitro, you’d get some sort of nasty bubbling mess of a result. I’m glad to see that isn’t the case. I have a shabbily repainted super sonic that I’ve been itching to refinish in something cool like this.
    Your wordsmithing is second to none, B! Thanks for another great one, my friend

      Too kind, Ramiro! Too kind!
      Yeaa. That's the thing, Graceys and Deft are both much more stable. So you can go heavy and the checking is still reasonable. Man.... the thickness needed for the watco was too much. Started throwing really extreme checking. I was like.... Fuuu..... lol.
      But that's the thing. The whole project was kind of a "use what we got" and I had a feeling the watco would bite me.
      Graceys is a great nitro. Shoulda used that. :)
      Have a beautiful holiday, my friend!

    nice video again, i just discovered your channel and i really enjoy how you approach your builds from a kinda DIY point of view and make everything seem achievable for any average guy. However Im also really liking the insightful knowledge and expertise that you defenetly do have and occasionally sprinkle in.
    As some of the other people here have said i usually really dislike sparkle finishes but as i kept warching i think in the end it turned out pretty nice.
    Im exited to see where you take this project in the future, greetings from germany and merry christmas!

    I’m painting my guitar next weekend, the nitro over sanded poly. Weather is expected to be low 50’s with 40% humidity. Using stew Mac rattle can nitro. Thoughts? Thanks for all the advice so far!

      Stew Mac is good. Big thing is reading the flash off and giving it more time to counter the lower temps. Enjoy the holiday Bry!
