It is not necessary you repeat it all along, generally when you repeat wastage is less but i feel it should also complement the outer finish of the cabinets! So i prefer selecting it according to outer finish.

So nice of you, minimum - try not to go more than 2ft width per shutter that is around 8ft of wardrobe space with regular bifold fittings
