I'm italian, but I'm not here to judge his italian Language. He gave us a fantastic exhibition of opera, but waht has really impressed me more, has been a real friendship. The guys in the audience were happier than him on the stage. To see friends enjoing the achivement of one of them made me emotional!!!!!

I think Simon Cowell showed us the talented and intuitive professional HE is. He knew immediately Gruff was not doing well with his first song, rightly stopped it, gave him some expert advice (and told him to get water which is a singer's best friend!!) and sent him off singing his second song. And he sang it brilliantly. Kudos to Simon Cowell. I've always liked him.

I couldn't agree more, Cheryl. I think Simon's 'dark side' was generated by people that saw things through different eyes. I've rarely doubted his perspective...which isn't to say I haven't, on rare occasion disagreed. He know's his stuff....and anyone who finds his judgments to be harsh, would never make it in the entertainments business.
Some of his comments in the past may have been considered rude...but you have to consider, that blatantly talent-less people waste everybody's time. It would be cruel to give false encouragement to these people.
I've always liked him too.
Simon didn’t go into this business just for the money. He has a rare talent, he is able to separate the wheat from the chaff. He sees a winner; simple.
Btw, the first performance was beautiful for me as his voice was so resonant, but whatever gets the most views (Nessun Dorma) is of course better for Simon Cowell.

Seeing those two guys crying rooting him on made me think of my 2 brothers and how much they love me and support me and it brought me to tears. Good for him

Randy Barber well... that’s probably true. Opera singers sing this piece very differently and require a much higher level to be just slightly impressed compared on how he does it. That’s probably really the first time someone appreciated his version because in the professional opera world he would be despised.

Yeah. Besides Griff's great talent, he also has something that not many of us are lucky enough to have. Real friends. Those guys in the audience are the best ! Especially the guy with the white shirt and dark jacket. You could just see the emotion and tears in his eyes. What a super guy.💕💕😁

It never ceases to amaze me how Simon can spot when someone has talent but isn`t using the right song, then they go again and smash it, he really knows his business!

Now this was my all time favorite. He sang BEAUTIFULLY! His friends and support system. WOW. Pure magic. Shows how you can Be your absolute Best when under pressure and accomplish great things with the right people in your corner. We all need friends like his.

This has got to be the mist emotional golden buzzer ever, in the whole world. He, overcoming his nerves, the performance itself, the crowd’s reaction the support from his friends and Amenda’s spontaneous golden buzzer. Plus his own reaction. Pure joy!!

I think I felt about as much for his friend on the left as Gruffydd, look at his friend on the left, you can see the tears in his eyes as he's rooting for his friend, and at the end when his two friends call out and embrace you can hear the emotion in his voice, he's about ready to cry for his friend. Like Sushibree says in the comments, if those two guys are his best friends he is already a winner in his life.

I am from Texas, in America. This is my all-time favorite video of either BGT or AGT ever. And there have been some very good ones. Better than Susan Boyle’s and she is fantastic herself. But this audition epitomizes what life is all about. Competing, being knocked down, getting up again and winning. True friends. Reaping rewards. Just awesome. I watch this over and over, and I always tear up . Very emotional, very inspiring. And what great friends. He’s already a winner there. I would like to know how he fared. Even if he didn’t win, I know his singing career probably sky-rocketed. Just awesome!!

Lol I'm so happy for and proud of this boy. At first he clearly had no self-confidence, but when he hit that last incredibly powerful note and got the standing ovation, the boy knew he had absolutely nailed it....yet even then he was very self-effacing....AND GOOD FOR SIMON.....He knew this kid had more inside and he got him to let it go...I'm crying in happiness for this youngster!!!!!
