You don’t know how popular sejeong was in korea during her debut days. She’s everywhere, keep trending, become the fastest female solo to win in music show. Unfortunately jellyfish wasted it and they only let her release an album after 4 years ? It’s really great to see her won again. I really hope this year will be sejeong’s year. Gugudan too ! Jellyfish keep wasted gugudan talent. They’re really talented. Fighting Gugudan !!!
I believe Jellyfish tried to funnel that popularity she received after she debuted solo through to her group gugudan. Unfortunately, that did not work out so well :/ if they pushed her to keep releasing solo music she would’ve been successful, no doubt.
I liked GUGUDAN back then but let's be honest, Sejeong fits to be a solo artist more. Her talent is being wasted in the group and other members are being outshined when they are also talented. No one wins, just talents being wasted.

Sejeong deserves this award, her early life was not an easy one. She is awesome in everyway.
What happened in her early life?
InSomnia54 I read that Sejeong’s parents separated when she was a child. Her mum had to single-handedly raise her and her brother on a small income. Almost a decade went by before Sejeong had any contact with her dad. Sejeong was born in the mid south west of Korea (Gimje), but after her parents split she had to move to the north west of Korea (Anyang), to reside at her aunts house with her mum and older brother. Sejeong always has a bright and happy personality. She seems like a lovely person.
InSomnia54 D Sejeong revealed that she felt bad for her mum because they were poor. She asked her mum to wait till the day when she could steadily provide for her family.

gugudan has always gotten 2nd place for music shows, but they always end up facing such big groups such as twice, gfriend, and iz*one when they promoted, they would’ve had their first win if it was timed right. In Sejeong’s case, Jellyfish promoted her properly on youtube, billboards, and they couldn’t do that because when gugudan promoted, Stone Music had the most shares in the company so they were limited to what they could do. Hopefully when gugudan comes back now, they can have success.
not surprised since sejeong ranked a close 2nd in pd101. she is very popular. sadly cannot say the same for gugudan
i have a feeling her CEO is probably thinking, she would be more successful if the agency had put her in a solo career like Chungha instead of continuing in a girl group with gugudan. with both good solo singing and also acting. she is probably making more money for Jellyfish than her group. but i am sure she feel bad for it also.

This is why I kept saying that Jellyfish should’ve made her a solo instead of putting her in a group. I’m a fan of gugudan but let’s just be honest, her full potential will not be shown if she’s in a group. Like with her talent, acting and her variety skills? She would be great and popular by now.

I mean if u ask other kpop fans about gugudan only those who knows them can name other members than Semina. Tons of ppl out there only knows Semina but mostly Sejeong. Like their fans are sometimes complaining because the other members doesn’t shine at all. In variety shows, do u see other members going alone? Gettine cfs, solo promotion, getting acting roles and etc? Sejeong has a lot to show us and she can’t sometimes because she’s holding back since she has her members to think. I’m not saying that she’s disappearing in gugudan, what I’m saying is sometimes it’s becoming Sejeong and the others or Semina and the others. 🤦🏻♀️ Sejeong is so popular in sk specially in her P101 Prime like if she debuted as solo like Chungha? She’s a lot popular by now. Like look at gugudan, they don’t have their 1st win yet while Sejeong’s solo songs already had their 1st.
