Thanks Tim. I just ordered one thru your link. I had a new Rain bird timer. One time it did not come on. Two times it wouldn't shut off!! My greenhouse received approximately 24 gallons thru my drip system last night!! Reading the one star reviews that seems to be a common problem with Rain Bird and other digital timers.
I've been using digital hose timers for years and I swear by them. I've found that some of them leak a little bit so I use plumber's tape around the hose thread before I make the connection.
Thanks for the great video with helpful info? Does this timer allow for a regular hose to be connected to it (vs. the drip irrigation style hoses)? I already bought a bunch of soaker hoses and other connections and I'd planned on running a standard rubber hose from the timer to my beds, then connecting the soaker hoses from that point.
Yes, if you had the drip system laid out into multiple zones, you could use a splitter from the faucet and attach a different timer on each split. Some timers also have multiple outlets and support different timings for each.
I haven't heard of this one! I just looked it up, looks pretty cool! This looks like it has the flexibility to do any odd schedule. If you don't have your phone, is there a way to manually set it too. [ Hunter BTT amzn.to/2AH7ILJ ]
OrganicBackyardGardening I dont’t think is necesary, the program is related to seasons normaly, and today everyone use a phone with bluetooth. It works perfect to me. Have a nice day!
Can you set the time of day? I like the twice a day option but how do you determine when it comes on. Is it possible to set it to something like 7am then again at 9pm?
Hello! No, if you set it was 7AM, and put on the 12HR option it would water at 7AM and 7PM. This is actually the setting I use sometimes, early in the morning and in the evening.
Give it a second after turning off to on (with the manual setting to test) - if it doesn't work try different batteries. 📩 Join My Insiders List for Free Weekly Garden Tips → bit.ly/FreeWeeklyGardeningTips
@@OrganicBackyardGardening thank you. Another question. Do you have to leave the faucet on all the time? Mine faucet is start to leaks when I keep the faucet on.
@@vietmale1224 yes I keep it on all the time. Leaking at the spigot or Handel? If spigot put another o ring in the timer female adapter or use Teflon tape.
I believe greater than 25psi but does not exceed 100psi...so it won't work if your trying to pull from a rain barrel have to add water pump in that case
Now that you've owned this timer for a while I'm wondering if you still think it's good? I have two of these things it may work great for about 3 months then they started leaking the worst customer service ever or should I say no customer service. Won't answer emails this thing is a piece of junk. I'm not the only one having trouble with these things there's quite a few bad reviews on Amazon saying the same thing about their customer service
I haven't had any issues with the timer. I would recommend reaching out to them directly on their website. I was sent a drip timer from Dripworks.com and very pleased with it and have been using for a month with no issues, I am using this on my other garden area (planning on posting a review soon) - here is the link if your interested in checking it out - www.dripworks.com/galcon-bluetooth-flip-open-lcd-timer?ref=lfw3jygn

O wow! That is to bad! I have still had luck with this one! It’s still going strong! :)
Ordering from link!! And Thank-you!!

That’s a great tip! bit.ly/WeeklyGardeningTips
thank you for the video and detailed product list!
Glad it was helpful!
does it reduce the outgoing pressure?
What happens if the battery runs out while its open? Does it stay open or is it smart enough to fail closed?
Good Question! I am not sure about that.

Yes it does!
Yup. Bought an Orbit 2 outlet and it only lasted about a week. I may try this one.
Works very well!
Does it work with rain tanks, where are almost no pressure? Some timers refuses to function with zero-gravity systems
IN the raindrip official video they say must be OVER 15 PSI . I don't think this would work on a water capture system.
What if you have multiple irrigation blocks
Can you use a splitter on the hose and have multiple timers set up so you can water different zones?
Yes, if you had the drip system laid out into multiple zones, you could use a splitter from the faucet and attach a different timer on each split. Some timers also have multiple outlets and support different timings for each.
thanks for sharing! Is this timer rain/water resistant? Just wondering if the timer can still be alive outside after a raining day
Yes, absolutely
For me is the Hunter BTT, 😊

For some reason, I did exactly like you instructed but the water doesn’t come out of the bottom valve. Is there something wrong with the unit?

I just received my unit. The is instructions say "Do not use rechargeable batteries."
Oh that’s interesting! I never noticed that. I have been using them for years without issue. Not sure if something changed?
