What about when you've made mistakes? what about when you have abandoned your habitual sins and have not fallen back to them at all for over a year during a trial, but things have continued to get worse and worse, and then worse again, and you are alone, not married, no help 2000 miles away from my friends and family? You make progress, finally start to come out of it, but then go back down further, and then further again. Now you're causing others a problem because you cannot pay them what you owe, you've lost time from work, you have a job, but you just don't have it. What to do?
You must always look to God for help, healing, guidance, and strength. He will never leave you, and while it may seem as though He is distant from you at times, He is always near to the broken-hearted Psalm 34:18. You will want to seek Him and seek others who can help you as well. Life here on earth is going to be very difficult, the Lord promises us that, however, He promises to always be by our side. Never give up hope... hope is a joyful thing, and we must find our joy in the Lord!
None of us is perfect ... but by the grace and love of God are we forgiven when we repent. God forgives us ad infinitum when we REPENT (the operative word is REPENT). "Then Peter came up and said to [Jesus], "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?" Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven." [Matthew 18:22-23]. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." [1 John 1:9] Jesus said this "“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble of heart; and you will find rest. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” [Matthew 11:25-30] "Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered." [ Luke 12:7].
