  • Self Taught PLC, DCS & SCADA Programmers roadmap... Listen Up #selftought #plc #dcs #scada #2022 #industrial automation
Tips and tricks for learning PLC, DCS and SCADA
Self taught programmer is not easy route.. as campare to boot camp or mentorship programs or physical
class room training. In class room training everything is cooked for you
as self taught programmer you have to figure out everything for you...this can be challenge for alot
    of people
People normally ask how long it takes to become plc , DCS programmer, there is not straight forward
answer. My ans is dont think to much about timeline.. best way is to figure out how long it
take for you to become pro is by taking action and starting
Dont overthink... In training center on mentorship everything is structure ,from where to start, PLC,
DCS, SCADA , HMI and Instrumentation
Which brand to start with, which brand have more scope...which projects are important for industry
as self taught programmer you dont have luxry of being told from where to start, you have to figure out
everything by yourself this can be very stressfull
you dont know which language to start with STL, Ladder, FBD .
You are overloaded with alot of info from different resourse, like YT, UDemy
Let me tell you important secret, it does not matter , which language, which brand. It does not
    matter from you start learning
Once you know one brand one langage you got confidence with you, which act as key for all future learning
    start is key
Different brand offer similar programming interfaces not much difference, its just like you know
how to drive one BMW , and you upgrade frari, which little knowlege you can learn
start with Ladder, then STL and FBD

I think it's depends on the country. Here in Indonesia there's many vocational high school with specialization in industrial automation. The entry level jobs pay fairly for this school graduate. But as you get more experience, the jobs will pay pretty good amount of money. And then you can pay for the college tuition, get a degree in EE, and paid even more as you have both the experience and the degree.
