This video is honestly a perfect example of the butterfly effect, as the single act of Toadsworth asking for MORE FREAKIN’ ORANGE PAINT created one of the most influential characters in SMG4 history, making literally all of the arcs possible.

...the Waluigi arc could have still happened perfectly fine even if Meggy didn't exist, it's really Boopkins (and of course Waluigi himself) who initiated that, Meggy had basically nothing to do with the arc at the start and didn't appear until Mario and the T-pose virus, which was really the third episode because, even though it's not in the playlist, the real beginning of the story arc was Stupid Mario Tennis Aces. She had no influence in the Arc's beginning, she simply became a part of it after it had already started.
I mean all the Arcs still would have happened but the Anime Arc and maybe the Waluigi Arc would have massive changes. The other 3 would've barely changed.

I'll be honest -- Luke probably would have burned out and stopped making videos. He had already moved away from the youtuber Mario recolors and there wasn't much left he could do with the SM64+ cast. Luke said himself he was growing up and wanted to try different things. He NEEDED something that would keep him motivated. They lucked out with Meggy. Kevin said NOTHING about Meggy was planned -- she just _happened._ The best kind of character!

I literally just discovered this series yesterday and watched the anime arc and was curious as to how far back this goes and my... This series has some history. I love how fun and goofy the writing is for this series. Though it's packed with random moments and wacky content, there is still a story being told that can teach morals. Clever work ya'll. WIll be looking forward to following this series for now on.

Five long years have passed, and our favorite former Splatoon rep of SMG4 is still standing. It's hard to believe that Meggy has come so far. Going from an inkling to a human, meggy's definitely evolved throughout the years as one of SMG4's most beloved characters, if not nearly the #1 best. Meggy has definitely gone through a lot of character development, from losing plenty of things spanning from hundreds of splatfests to a rival turned friend. Its insane how SMG4 wrote her like a fuckin book from front to back. Keep going, meggy! Here's to another five years!

Exactly 6 years ago (as of my typing this), SMG4 Team decided to expand their horizons a bit by trying an episode with story structure and some actual animation… in so doing they created a very special girl who gave unexpected depth to our favorite dumbass plumber and then to the whole cast, including those who came after, while enduring a lot of grief. Happy 6th Anniversary and 21st birthday to woomy girl Meggy Spletzer! 🧡 I for one am glad she exists.
It' incredible to see just how much Meggy has changed since this video, and I don't say that lightly. Between all the changes she experienced, internally and externally, she is truly one of my favorite characters. Less than a day remains until "Meggy's Destiny" as of typing this comment, and I couldn't be more excited to see the climax of her character.

Ah, so this was the introduction of one of my favourite characters; Meggy. She’s just got such a charm and charisma to her character, and she’s just a joy to watch.
Okay, but I gotta admit, I love the detail that SMG4 gave with having Judd’s tail also pointed to Cuttlefish when Mario said he was the one was the minigun.
I was thinking the same thing when I saw this yesterday. I was bracing myself for the inklings to be horrendous but SMG4 Outdid himself for all the inklings.
Well yes you're right, but he still had to pose/animate them. Much of the time he intentionally makes the animation really wonky for comedic effect, but this time the Inklings facial movement was actually really good in comparison.

Wow, this was a really great episode. I liked it, especially the ending where it showed that, even as an idiot, Mario has a tender side. He really enjoyed the tournament, even though they lost, and actually comforted Meggy instead of saying "screw her" and leaving her to wallow. Guess he isn't the one-dimensional spaghetti lover we all thought he was. He's TWO dimensional! :D

SMG4 is testing their fanbase. With the removal of the inkling design, the fans going crazy over her either adapt like she did, or get out of the channel's fanbase. I literally just discovered this series yesterday and watched the anime arc and was curious as to how far back this goes and my... This series has some history. I love how fun and goofy the writing is for this series. Though it's packed with random moments and wacky content, there is still a story being told that can teach morals.

Five long years have passed, and our favorite former Splatoon rep of SMG4 is still standing. It's hard to believe that Meggy has come so far. Going from an inkling to a human, meggy's definitely evolved throughout the years as one of SMG4's most beloved characters, if not nearly the #1 best. Meggy has definitely gone through a lot of character development, from losing plenty of things spanning from hundreds of splatfests to a rival turned friend. Its insane how SMG4 wrote her like a fuckin book from front to back. Keep going, meggy! Here's to another five years!
