Why and how should office workers exercise? (with subtitles)

  • In Latvia almost all office workers are sedentary workers. Sitting in one position for many hours at a time, there is poor blood circulation in the body etc., and over time this raises many permanent health problems, and for this reason, physiotherapist and Assistant at the Faculty of Rehabilitation at Rīga Stradiņš University, Daiga Pulmane recommends that anyone with a sedentary job should get up every hour for five minutes to exercise. In the video she first explains why you should exercise and then demonstrates some simple exercises that you can do while still sitting or standing at your desk in the office.
