Cycling to Europe, crossing the no-man’s land of Kazakhstan, encountering storm, camping in the Gobi

Kazakhstan is a vast country with a sparse population. Apart from cities, there are also villages. The distance between urban and rural areas is quite long. It is common to cycle dozens or hundreds of kilometers without seeing a village, let alone a restaurant or shop. The road facilities seem to have been built during the former Soviet Union. The potholes were repaired again and again, and the broken ones were repaired again. It is difficult to find 4G network except in cities. Occasionally, some strong signals may drift through.
Kazakh people are generally more polite and have higher quality, and their cultural customs are more like those of Western society (they only care about their own lives and not things that have nothing to do with them). Several times when I met passers-by and wanted to take pictures, I would first shake hands and ask if they could take pictures? Large and small vehicles on the way will also wave and say hello. Finally, no one was watching us while camping, let alone watching us cook and eat. The feeling of freedom was finally back!
In order to ensure supplies along the way, we would fill up the water whenever we passed by inhabited places and carry enough food for two or three days.
