Psychology is totally bunk. There is no way to experiment and conclude objectively that shaking your foot, sucking in your lips, putting your leg up, is an indication of literally anything. Its all made up hocus pocus, no more meaningful than astrology. You can make it say whatever you want. Like I'm pretty sure I've heard the exact opposite explanation before about the "what do you think the punishment should be" question, "giving a detailed answer is an indication that the suspect is lying because they're trying to paint themselves as someone who could never do the crime." See? Make it say whatever you want. Complete and utter nonsense.

I never heard of the reid technique but I have personally done 'the punishment question' with my son when he was younger. When he had broken a rule multiple times, I sat with him in his room and asked him to pretend he was the parent and I was the kid and I just broke a house rule. I even swapped seats and let him sit on the desk chair while I sat on the bean bag. He fell into a false sense of security thinking he's gonna be able to control where this was going so he responded with "I would have a talk with you about not breaking any rules". I responded with "ok, great, and now I just broke the rule again. what do you do?" He says "Um...I would sit down with you and have a firm talk some more about the rules." I say "fine, I don't care, I'm breaking it *again"* He then starts to become flustered because he now knows about the trap he is falling into, so he responds with "ok, well then I get your mother to als-" I interrupt with "oh I'm definitely breaking that rule again. In fact, now I'm going to break all the rules because I don't care what you have to say about any of them". He *finally* accepts defeat and lowers his head saying "I would ground you from all your stuff." I then stand up and say "ok... that sounds fair.....for *THIS* time" then told him I love him and leave the room. 😎

this part i do find funny for some reason 36:53 ... the guy making the video and detectives are suspicious on Alex not being like ''WOAAAAH WTF MAN'' after saying something like ''i would like to get paid for killing people''..... like you literally found Private dms/texts of two good friends, found something strange in there...... if anyone thats reading this... has a friend, a friend online that they play games with, and if police went through your dms.... they would probably find many of ''WOAAAH WTF'' texts through the years or months of your friendship, thats just how online goes.... people have intrusive thoughts that they like to say out loud or type out loud, like for me recently i was like ''how can you be afraid and scared of stray small dogs, they are literally smaller than cats you can kick them a mile away because you are a human'' and if taken out of context (as i am), investigated by detectives.... a conversation like that would also seem strange and odd (btw i dont kick dog)

The guy narrating the video isn't one of the investigators. And one of the actual investigators would challenge a statement made by a suspect as a lie when they had *EVIDENCE* proving it. And this isn't some "almost like being normal with strangers is a lie" situation. It's a fking *Interrogation.* So you might want to take it serious if you are a part of it.

What I hate about these analysis videos is they try to assess natural indications of guilt when guilt is not a natural thing. You can assess someone’s body language, but that language should be speaking natural things. For instance a feeling a confusion, danger, or a desire to hide. None of these things link to guilt or innocence, but in the context of the narrative it is up to the watcher to interpret for themselves the likelihood of guilt or innocence. However this interpretation should not be seen as the same level of validity that is given to the actual body language itself.
