To my guess after the battle against metallix somehow the chaos emeralds in sonics hyper forms are starting to affecting i believe its the emeralds assumed he was a negativity storage being,however this is degrading rapidly it makes sonic change overtime within each degrations and revealing a unknown entity however it is unsure if its true or not
Honestly if Amy Rose did give up on Sonic the Hedgehog permanently then it's obvious, and that would mean that she'll no longer chase after him, she'll no longer rely on him to save her, she'll no longer need him for anything, she'll stop trying to impress him, she'll stop looking out for him, she'll no longer care if he's sick, hurt, or wounded, she'll no longer care about him, she'll stop being there for him, she'll no longer appreciate him or anything he does for her, she'll no longer talk to him, she'll no longer want to see him again, she'll no longer be obsess with him, she'll no longer get jealous of other girls he's dating, she'll stop stalking him, and she'll no longer worry about him, because Sonic blew it and Amy Rose would've eventually moved on to Shadow the Hedgehog maybe. But if Sonic does love Amy then he needs to stop running away from her, he needs to stop neglecting, he needs to stop rejecting her, and he's better tell her that he loves her soon before she gives up on him.
