I happen to have Dom as one of my first two villagers, I've heard about him being the type of villager that talks about nothing but lifting weights. I have just started ACNH and its the first animal crossing game I've ever played(sorry about that part I've got off track, okay back to Dom) When i saw Dom i was anxious to see how he would act, but i was shocked by how kind and motivating he is, just one day into the game he says something on the lines of "i hope you stay my friend and never leave" and i cried, knowing that eventually I'll leave. Love ya Dom and when i do leave, I'll never forget you and add you to the new town I create no matter the cost.
Thanks for this dub. It's so cute and well-made, but full of lesson too. Honestly, I did too. I forgot this game was originally for children to enjoy. That's why there's cute animals everywhere. But when everyone needed a retreat, it got overwhelming soon. Even I got desperate looking for my favourite animals. In the end, all we need is some happy times. :)
I mean, it wasn't when the first game came out in the Gamecube. The villagers there were downright insulting and could really destroy a kid's self-esteem and self-confidence.
Honestly, I'm surprised more people don't characterize Raymond like this. I mean everyone is free to portray him how they like, but in comics where he's aware of how he's adored by the community it really does make sense that it could go to his head. He is literally a "smug" villager type.
Some people like him because he is rare but when I found him on an island I squealed with nothing but joy and it went like this “OH MY GOD YOU’RE SO CUTE!!”
I’d much rather live on a cheap messy island where I’m treated with respect than a 5 star island when I’m forced into a maid dress and forced to sing KK bubblegum for hours straight.

Hell this comic embodies my playstyle of animal crossing. I dont care if I get every peace of clothing, or if I get every event, or if July island is perfect. I enjoy having fun with the wacky and crazy villagers that come and go. Also I'm sorta bummed that I got raymond randomly and he moved out last week, but that opens the door for someone new to move in. Was nice knowing ya business cat.
