    seponification takes when you blend together the lye sol.and oils. its already safe to use. the only thing we think on curing is to allow the water to evaporate to be able the soap to harden and the weight is stable. the longer the curing it is, the harden it will be and the longer the soap to consume.

    Thank you for sharing such an amazing soap receipe with us.
    I did watch the turmeric soap video of yours and i still have doubt with the hibiscus and rose soap receipe.
    1) what is the quantity of rose clay you added?
    2)what is the quantity of hibiscus powder you added lately ?
    3) what is the shelf life of this soap?

    • @MaryRosePassions
      @MaryRosePassions  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Precious Lab, Thank you for your valuable feedback. I’ve used 1-Tbsp of Rose clay for 1kg batch. 1/2-Tbsp Hibiscus powder. This is homemade powder from my dried flower. About the shelf life, Soap is Alkaline Product and it doesn’t grow mold or bacteria the additives when we add just right amount, so it normally can take up to 1-3 years. Hope it helps and Thank you for watching my video..Stay safe where ever you are! 🙂

    Greetings, I have hibiscus powder and its has been a failure to get the correct color.
    Is it that I should freeze the hibiscus water like you did before mixing in the lye?
    I tried it without the freezing part and the color changed once lye was completely mixed.

    • @MaryRosePassions
      @MaryRosePassions  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Yaya, it change the color due to high Alkaline when you use the lye solution. Even you freeze your tea is still going to change but is not as like the unfreeze one. That’s the reason I incorporate on my rose clay. You can get the right color you want if you use the hibiscus into liquid soap or toner. Hope that helps.. stay safe! 💞

Unlike coping with someone's recipe there will be a chance that many people use it already.
      If you are New to Soap Making. Much better to read first the beginner book many are available in your local book store or in Amazon like example this book amzn.to/32tGN13 or amzn.to/3mkSpLS
      I don’t provide much recipe list on my video as I created my channel to show only how to use raw ingredients like example papaya leaf, turmeric powder, fruit juices of flower, so some people like soap makers can also able to use.
      Please note that those link on top is not affiliated so I don’t earn from any of those. I just wanna help by providing it. Thanks for understanding… Stay safe always!

    Thank you very much, your soap turned out really well, and the freezing of the boiled hibiscus seems to be a great tip for good colour. I thought that the video was overly long, particularly as you speak very little in it. When I started feeling dizzy with your constant stirring, I wondered how many other people have to turn away for the screen to reorientate themselves from the trance inducing circles. The 16 minute video is definitely in need of some editing. Many people ask for your recipe as they want to try it. Why not write it out in the video notes from the get go so people can find it directly along with all your links? You wait to be ask before you type it up in a few of your videos, so it gets linked with a particular comment, and hidden further down in the commentary.
    You have a unique style of soap-making that is refreshing, I enjoy the tropical fruits you put into your soaps that you have access to where you are in the world. Sure! Try this simple recipe 👉🏻 500g Pomace oil, 400g Coconut oil, 100g sunflower oil. The Lye is 151g and the Distilled water is 489g. You can add 2-5% additional oil for your surfer fat if you want.

      @@MaryRosePassions I don't have clay but I want to make a hibiscus soap. Will mica or colour dye work?

    • @MaryRosePassions
      @MaryRosePassions  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mica will work perfectly for coloring soaps 🧼 easy to work as well. You can disperse to your oil before adding the lye or you can add before the trace. I normally use 1 tsp first then add more if needed.

    Isn't the test soap corrosive?

    • @MaryRosePassions
      @MaryRosePassions  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, the lye is Corrosive during first step of the process. Once it binds with oil it form a new chemical to process the saponification and become soap. After becoming solid and just cuts, still corrosive but not as dangerous on the first stage. When you touch it safe but make your hand dry. So it needs to be cured to be consider in general safe and to have the moisturizing effect when you use. Hope that’s help.

    • @MaryRosePassions
      @MaryRosePassions  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is possible to use 100% coconut oil only but the results might be not balance and it can be drying to the skin. Aside from that.. you have to change the lye percentage if you gonna use 100% coconut oil.
      You can do that at soap calculator. Please watch my video listed on SOAP MAKING on how to use the soap calculator. Follow the step to get the correct amount of lye and water.
