Had a dear friend from Grand Rapids who passed away this year. Thanks for sparking a few fond memories of him. Nice vid, seems similar but far less busy ,to fishing here in Toronto
I have never seen anyone post a video at the grand river before, you actually fished my favorite spot, it’s within biking distance so I go there often, I would recommend using goby as livebait
That's why I don't fish the river, especially near GR. I grew up there and the only great time to go is during the yearly salmon run. Almost all kind of salmon run up that river. Fun fact, that river starts at Lake Michigan and runs all the way to Jackson, Michigan. It's the state's largest and longest river system. It also branches out into SEVERAL smaller rivers and streams, too
Summer can also be good on the Grand if you know where to look. There are a few honey holes I've found that have produced channel cats, flatheads, drum, white bass, small mouth bass, largemouth bass, bluegill, sunfish, suckers, mirror carp, gar, and pike, all in the same day. And that's not even half of the species that thrive in the Grand River! If you're willing to poke around a little in some more urban settings, you can find a wide variety of gamefish🎣
@aaronhoyes1781 yes it does just like every river there deponer holes that fish hang around in. It’s just putting in the time to explore every in of the area
@@joshlego4775 that's hilarious, you call me "dense" because you're commenting on a subject you clearly know very little about. Well ain't that rich. Sorry to burst your little proverbial butt bubble there bub but I've forgotten more about fish species and fishing than you will EVER in your entire life time.
