@josephine4611 I don't know where you guys or the rest of the EI viewers live but I live in the UK and the majority of our mainstream media just show images of injured and starving children but no facts or political updates. Insinuating that all lives lost are a result of collateral damage. We do have one mainstream channel whose staff ask Isreali officials difficult questions and it's channel 4

I watched the recent channel 4 news where the host was asking hard questions, I'm not familiar with channel 4, but was good to see.. from what I see from our Muslim side, we are constant in our views against innocent lives being taken, whether from our Muslims or non Muslims.. I don't see that from Israel supporters, just the sheer hatred for us Muslims that have zero empathy for even children in Gaza..

As an infantryman of many battles in the Vietnam War, knowing that the shock of battle destroys sexual desire and even the want to eat, I wrote a letter to the NY Times noting that I saw propaganda in “Screams Without Words…” by Jeffrey Gettleman, Anat Schwartz, and Adam Sella.
What civilians don’t know is that rapes do occur in war, but never in the heat of battle, especially of such high intensity. For instance, in WWII, thousands of German women were raped in the Russian capture of Berlin but not by the attacking troops; the following troop waves after the battle were the offenders.
In a battle with that many casualties, I am certain that no Hamas fighter pulled his pants down to use the bathroom. That close to death, the only woman a combatant would think about would be his mother!

I know this sounds churlish, but I feel I need to point out, that many thousands of women were raped across all liberated territory, but especially in Germany, by the Allied troops too. From what little I know, supposedly a roughly equal 'proportion'. I have no idea, at what stage of the battle-occupation, these rapes occurred.

I had a NYT subscription for a while. I cancelled it well before Oct 7th as it was clear to me that far from being an objective news source, it was in fact, a not so subtle American propaganda rag. It is a wonder Americans can think at all.
