ये अमर गीत मै अपनी कॉलोनी मे होने वाले 15 अगस्त के सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम मे आज से लगभग 40-45 वर्ष पूर्व गाया करता था और उस समय मेरे सामने बैठे सभी श्रोता अपने आंसुओं को छुप कर एक हल्की सी मुस्कान के साथ पोंछ लिया करते थे... और गीत के अंत मे कोई पैसा तो कोई कॉपी पेंसिल पेन आदि मुझे इनाम के तौर प्र दिया करते थे वो समय कुछ और ही था और उस समय के लोगों मे बहुत भावुकता हुआ करती थी... आज न ऐसे गीतकार हैं न ही संगीतकार हैं अब तो केवल शोर है जिसे नई पीढ़ी के ऊपर जबरन थोपा जा रहा है और नई पीढ़ी ने भी इसे अपना लिया है...
