dyslexia has 3 forms or aspects. Trouble with symbols, Sounds or the complex or combined form of trouble decoding or recalling symbols & sounds. Despite popular beliefs, people with dyslexia don't necessarily have lower comprehension than people without dyslexia. It does demand more attention and concentration when trying to read or decode written words, or while trying to write things down. It's cool that you keep asking questions like this and it does bring awareness of what different conditions are like for the people who struggle with them. I know it isn't part of your streaming really but still appreciate you asking the questions occasionally. It helps others understand the differences and hopefully understand / accept what it's like. Thank you!
Your phasmophobia content made me good at the game without playing it before. I recently got 20 levels in a few days and also managed to play a nightmare game. I found out what ghost it was in there but none of the others listened and chose a different ghost.
Yeah same. I got the game like 3 months ago after watching them play it for about 1 year. I am now level 300-ish and it pains me to watch them struggle 😂
On the slight offtopic about that dyslexia conversation-- My little sister doesn't have a minds eye (Called Aphantasia). So when we tell her to think of a red apple-- she knows what those are in her head, but she thinks of the touch-texture and smell rather than the shape and lighting. She can't 'picture' it. I asked her what her dreams were like, and she said it's mostly emotional feelings and touch. Like, she'd know of she was riding a blue horse in her dream but shed be unable to explain how she knew it was a horse at all let alone it being blue, but she COULD tell about the motion and the feel of the horses hair. It's very interesting talking to her about it, and I love the conversations whenever they come up.
ooh I have aphantasia too! instead of images in my head, I have a constant internal monologue and I think in terms of concepts rather than senses. like instead of smelling or tasting the apple I just have an idea of it from prior knowledge and experience. ...the more I try to explain it the more I realize even I don't understand it.
45:00 Since the new update ghosts are more prone to moving rooms after awhile. When it spawned downstairs to hunt you it most likely changed the room so the evidence needed to be relocated.
For people not into tarrot Death means change or the end of a cycle, very rarely will it mean physical death. Fool means the beginning of a journey or endless possibilities. The hanged man, means martyrdom, being humbled or to look things at a different perspective. The tower means catastrophe or the loss of something valuable.
Surprised Kaif didn't rearrange the round numbers on the video as a little Easter egg to do with the beginning conversation with glen. Amazing vids as per from you and the gang. Love you all
I think it might be better to say people with dyslexia might be more likely to think in 3d. We aren't sure how the thought process works. As you mentioned some people don't have an inner monologue, those without it also can't picture things either. Some people only think in partial sentences, some one word. Some can have full conversations in their head. Even fewer can have these conversations but in different voices. Some can perfectly replicate music and sounds with their thoughts. Some can perfectly replicate a room and spot a millimeter difference. Even though it's a vague topic it's one of my favorites.
Dyslexia doesn't just jumble up the words, it's not exactly an exclusively visual thing. It's a brain thing where understanding stuff becomes harder because the brain refuses to process things properly. Like how your sight focuses on one thing and the brain has to fill in the gaps on your peripherals? Yeah, it's like that BUT it also happens to what we're directly looking at. Like we can focus on looking at a word, but the brain keeps filling in a gap that isn't there so we read it at something else. Like, most mildly dyslexic people probably are unaware they're dyslexic. I have it, i didn't even know it was dyslexia until i heard about it well after college and had it checked out by a doctor. For the longest time i honestly thought i was just a complete moron. It sometimes hurts having to focus hard on something but it's the only way for you to not confuse shit. Even writing or typing takes alot of bit of effort when still learning it but it eventually gets easier through muscle memory. I have to read things three times sometimes because sometimes the sentences don't make sense, i go back and read it again, still doesn't make sense. Then the third time, it suddnely makes sense because i realized which word/s was/were wrong in it and focus on it more. Edit: Typos. Also, like, a book that takes my friends about 3 days to finish will take me about a week and a half. And i might also like to mention that i have apparently amazing vision, more so than normal. So i can be dyslexic from OVER 50 feet away.
"Why is my dad taking me to see Robby Williams? I don't like Robby Williams. He doesn't like Robby Williams." This feels very much like a thing to happen to Glen.
2:55:00 Look at that far little window. Daz went bye bye 👻 You can see me calling it out in the stream chat. I suck at describing the moment. Fun times
I can visualize everything in my head in detail pretty clearly, in all kinds of shapes, sizes, numbers, styles, colors even how to draw them out and the steps I need to take to do that. The problem lies in my hands not being able to follow brain! No matter how good my imagination is its so hard when I can't draw how I want too and words are just to limited to describe everything I can see!!!
The conversation at the beginning of how people think differently had me sit there for a moment and try to figure out how the heck I think. I can kinda picture stuff in 3D, but I've gotta REALLY focus on it. Otherwise my brain is going 70 steps ahead, and normally my thoughts are all just flashes of various things. Either of what I'm doing or trying to write, like right now, or it's just...going too fast to catch up. It makes it really hard to focus on an idea and I have to talk kinda fast sometimes to keep up with it all. On the bright side, I like to think it helps me with hand-eye coordination since I can type pretty well without needing to look or pause in what I'm saying, and I'm good at gaming because I guess I'm not thinking directly about what I'm doing, just focusing on the enemies and doing my rotations and adapting as need be.
It's easy, just start thinking thoughts and go from there. Analyze HOW you are thinking of those thoughts. Read a sentence or pick an object and start considering how it is you envision the words/object. When I think about how I think, I usually just get words. I can "talk" to myself in my head, I can hear a voice, nebulously my own, saying what I'm thinking about. I get it the strongest when I'm typing something out, like right now, but I can and have have whole conversations to myself in my head. I know I have Aphantasia. When someone asks me how I visualize things, I can "remember" an object I may have seen, but I cannot create one from memory. If I try to envision something, my mind is usually blank. If someone describes something to me, also blank. I always need some sort of framework to build a new mental image from. That's why whenever someone describes something they intend to make (say in minecraft) I just let them have their ramble until they ask for some input from me and I just say "yeah no, I have no idea what you are getting at" until they, perhaps, show me the site of the build, or doodle a rough image for me to base my mental image on... and even then, I can only think in rough shapes. If, again let's say in minecraft, someone were to ask me to envision a bridge in a location, I wouldn't be able to do it at all unless I could see the valley we are traversing, or a rough picture, then I could try to work from there, maybe adding a rectangle over the gap, then maybe a series of squares and rectangles to create a loose "handrail", and taller thinner rectangles to represent where lanterns might go, but I can never do detail. But that's about the extent of my mental capacity. I'm good with numbers, and these reasons above might be part of why that is. I always know what a 5 looks like, or an 8, but asking me to imagine a red apple in a 3D space slowly spinning? Impossible.
Yes I know, the Stands are named after the Cards. I just found it convenient since there’s like 50 different Tarrot Cards while JoJo only used like a third of them for Stand names. And the gang only pulled the cards that share the same name as the stands.
@@CesarGameBoy. I just wanted to clarify that JoJo only used the Major Arcana cards of the entire tarot card deck's selection (the 78 cards). The Major Arcana cards are considered the "trump cards" of the tarot cards' divination function and there is approximately 21-22 in said section. Phasmophobia, too, had supposedly only used the Major Arcana cards instead of the entire deck. Hence, the gang only pulled the cards that shared the same name as the stands in JoJo; it was an inevitable result.
The odds of the team finding the Tarot cards for the first time, someone dying in between going through them and then the last one being the high priestess. Fool means the beginning of a journey or endless possibilities.
