The Chinese full-size SUV looks formidable, as the boxy design looks like a mix of Cadillac Escalade, Toyota Land Cruiser 200, and Hyundai Palisade. The big center grille is a trendy design feature, but the GAC GS8 has taken it even further. Actually, we see two different front-end designs.
The GS8 also boasts a highly digitalized interior, featuring a 12.25-inch digital instrument cluster, flanked by a 14.6-inch center touchscreen, which would control almost all functions of the car. This essentially removes the need from physical buttons, but don’t worry, you still have indicator and wiper stalks, as well as a proper gear-selector.
Two powertrains are available for the GS8. The base one features a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine that makes 252 horsepower and 295 pound-feet (400 Nm). Power, however, goes to the front wheels only. That said, the new GS8 swaps the old six-speed automatic for a new eight-speed unit from Aisin.
The GAC Trumpchi GS8 was recently unveiled and on its home market, it will have a starting price of ¥ 158,000 ($24,450). Depending on what spec you go for, it can go up to ¥192,800 ($29,832). The GAC Trumpchi GS8 will not be exclusive to China, as it will be sold in other markets. Whether the US will be one of those markets is not yet known, although the name might put off some potential buyers, especially if the SUV is offered in orange.

Can any one confirm how it shows the blind spots when turning on signals? is it via video on the mid screen? front screen? or indication lights on the mirrors?

Thirty years ago I rode in a lot of Soviet cars. Zil, Zis, Volga, Lada, Polonaise, Skoda (the latter two are produced by the Warsaw Pact countries), I miss them so much, I even want to collect a Volga.

Yes, most of them make this mecuanical whine noise as they engane. You barely hear them inside the cabin but they're very audible if you're outside as the big motors are engaging.

It depends on whice contry you are living in. If you're in the tropical countries, off course this car will come with seat ventilation cooling.

Who says? Toyota has a 50% stake in GAC. even if not .....some of their latest offerings will last a long while.
The same way someone says Xiaomi/Redmi Phones won't last . My Redmi Note 8Pro is 3 years now. Used it to shoot my most recent videos 1080p. Not even 4k.
