    Oh thank you so much for this. I made this top a few months ago. Well I didn’t finish it as the neck was just awful. I couldn’t work it out. I may just give it another go after your tutorials.

      The neck was definitely a challenge. I don’t the pattern explains how to do it. I hope I did a better job! Be sure to let me know 😉

    Can you make the button front the back? and the back, the front? Would that work?

      It would work if you lower the back neckline. It’s too high to be comfortable.

    The R11039' number on the pattern envelope is the display number, that is on the pattern selves, so the real number on the directions is actually the right number 8220.

      And apparently on the McCall’s pattern website it’s also listed as 8220 so not sure what happened on the envelope!

    what is the name and size of the newsprint paper you have?

      It is Pacon newsprint paper (white) 36” x 100’ dispenser box. Their website is www.pacon.com. I bought it at Texas Art Supply here in Houston so it’s probably available on their website too.
