Some rare days, you just happen to find songs like this that you know will be following you for the rest of your life. I dont know what it is, but the chorus really touches me. Is it the bass that adds so much depth to this whole piece? Is it the imagery that has some kind of nostalgic effect on me? I don't know. What I do know, is that The Raveonettes are now amongst my most listened bands, and I'm glad I found them when I did.
I can't believe 8 years later and I still play this video once in a while to remind my young years and the happiness this music brought to me durin my worst nights.
Such a simple structure but... what a power. Vocal harmonies and words on chorus make me feel so compassionate. It's a very very rare feeling to get from the song, but it's so deep, and it touches my soul. It can be compared to falling in love for the first time in your life, or walking home alone from a school disco. Something very subtle and thin is hidden in this song, and I'm sure it will stay with me.
