I work with little kids. We have gone to markets to get ingredients and made various foods to make and eat. They never went crazy because they knew they were going to eat it later. They need to try this again and tell the kids they have to eat their own creations. When they can make their own food they HAVE to eat, they will choose wisely and usually do a great job. When they can be silly and NOT eat it, they will go bonkers!
Ya there was lack of direction and instructions on what to do. I always made the weirdest stuff as a kid if I didnt have to eat it. Even I thought that the kids were just supposed to be creative not see if it tastes good
When I was a kid I asked my stepdad to make me a 16 cheese soup or something ridiculous like that so he went and blended EVERY single cheese product in the household into the food processor and turned it into a soup. Talkin dorito's, cheese its, cheese whiz in a can etc. Never made that mistake again. 🤣
Nah. They were told to do it. If they were told to make up any sandwich that they would like, it wouldn't have been an interesting enough vid. To me, this was just not it. I like it when the guys are challenged.
Yes! See I was thinking that through the whole thing, is the kids are just trying to be silly and make something crazy not actually something they would eat.
The AI is thinking "what, as a kid, would I want to eat?" where the kid is thinking "what, as a kid, can I put on this food to mess with the guys eating it?"
Basically true. I work with little kids. When they can make their own food they HAVE to eat, it's simple stuff. When the can be silly and NOT eat it, they will get bonkers!
I agree, AI has all the recipes and was just choosing either recipes or flavor combinations that suit children. That would be cool to have as a parent.
@@renluvskagreed 110% working for Rhett and Link would be dream job status and I only stumbled on this channel about a week ago. Just somethin' about em seems really cool and laid back.
I don't think they served them the ones the kids actually made. Vee was writing down what the added in the first one. The kitchen remade them for the show. You could tell it wasn't the same one the kids made by looking at it.
I feel like the kids were in more of a “go ham” headspace, than “someone is going to be eating this” headspace. I feel like we need a redo where they try it, too, and taste test along the way. 😊 Because kids are capable of amazing dishes, they just need to be communicated to in the way they understand. ❤
But she told them several times they are going to eat it later. If you look closely, you can see Rhett and Link are eating recreations of kids recipes 🙂 They probably filmed kids cooking days before making this episode.
I would've gone with the noodle and marshmallow soup purely for the fact that I would never expect kids to choose peas when coming up with soup. I'm surprised they didn't think of that.
The AI can only pull from what's on the internet, and kids usually don't post whatever weird creation they make online (especially if their parents catch them making it), so what you're getting is a knowledge base of recipes designed by adults for children to make, or just eat, so they're better put together.
This is such a fun idea for an episode, I really hope they do more of these! Not just food but other things too! Kids are so imaginative they’d definitely beat AI every time with their creativity
Nah it’s the exact opposite, Rhett is all about winning to the point he will never give Link a break, Link could be winning and gives Rhett a chance to win at the end still cause he’s all about fun
I did the same thing! But eventually I'd get tired of being "so healthy" and start spreading a little bit of peanut butter on the bologna before putting it in the lettuce 💀💀
When you do this episode again the parameters need to be more specific for the AI! Age, available ingredients (it seems the AI could pick from anything and the kids grabbed what was in front of them), maybe give the kids a base recipe to start with etc
I think if you give a kid the reins, their first instinct is to go wild. It's what nobody would have done before them and a sure way to an original recipe
In soup round the AI used salt and pepper while the kids used whipped cream and chocolate syrup. That's when I knew the game might be a little too easy. Fun watch, though.
Dude when I was a kid, I was trying to make stuff taste good and following recipes, this boggles my mind. My mom also had us in the kitchen doing something from like birth though, so that definitely played a factor.

What they failed to consider is that children can have malicious intent 😂
They will either screw with you or make something to sweet
The thing is, AI will also trick you and make jokes. It already knows how to lie convincingly.

Kids be all like: Empty the contents of their stomach and turn it into a soup or sandwich. Just like the Military used to do.
@audiwaj4651 you haven't been around a kid for a while huh?
I want this done again, but i want the stipulation being that the kids make something that they would eat.

They almost had to try the first dish but I'm pretty sure they didn't because they didn't show it
Without their "Auntie." Keywords. Without help of any kind. Auntie...Get outta here, V.

very good take
