Thank you very much! Jamaica sounds really good about now. In my younger days, I played a few cruise ship gigs down in the carribean, and I really fell in love with the island music! Thanks again for the compliment!
I have so much respect for the fingerstyle playing! And surely love this one man! Sounds great .. just, you know .. like light-footed .. and just "chill and don't worry" type of thing! Awesome!
Yvonne Frary Hi Libby. Talk to me Libby. I waited on chat but you never joined me. Hope we can chat sometimes.Love the song "Red Red Wine." Thanks for sharing.
Nice. We have all three parts here--or at least the illusion of all three parts--: bass line, chords, and melody. Stylistically, this seems to be an interesting mixture of country and reggae with a bit of country blues thrown in here and there. Anyway, thanks for the demonstration. I enjoyed it.
Love it Steve! Sounds like Jamaica with their beautiful beaches, awesome sunny weather, and "no problem, mon" attitude...but with your own special twist added. Very cool.
Hi Mr. Jirak! I've got an old Teisco Del Ray guitar that you gave my uncle, Bob Vinduska. Learned how to play on it, and it's still kicking around Lawrence with me.
Steve, I picture you out riding some fences, but certainly not playing that! And "that" is pretty darn neat! LOL It would be fantastic if you could do a tutorial for us! Thanks again, I really enjoy your playing!
HEY BRO - nice mix of country and island strumin - Im from the pacific islands and i seriously like ur strum style - like super neooooo said - can u put up a video that teaches us to play that song - PLEAAAAZZZZZZZ - :)
One of the best fingerpicked covers I've ever heard. Very nice arangement, and your bends and hammering were fantastic. That slap/thump was great lol. Sign me up for lessons bro! 5/5 Stars!
That's really original and inspiring! I've been playing the guitar for two years now and hope I'll be able to play this tune like this one day. Subscribed!
Thanks Ryan. I'm glad that the tune inspired you to try fingerstyle guitar! A capo does make it a little easier to play this tune, but you do not have to have to have one to play it., I used it that particuar day because I thought it sounded good in that key. Sometimes I play it with a capo, sometimes I don't, it just depends on my perception of the tune on that particular day. If you do buy a capo I would highly recommend a Schubb brand. You can adjust the tension on them..and that's a plus.
wow u have inspired me to try fingerpicking style i really want to learn this song but unfortunately i do not have a capo so thats going to make this difficult
What a rendition! Man you sure have class. Funkin it up with that thigh slap made me laugh out loud. Your stile reminds me of the theme tune of the TV show "Thirty Something" remember? Top tune, thanks from London.
