Could you explain the best way to practice alternating picking in an environment its not ideal to do so? in that fast lick he moves from the B string to the E string on a downstroke and I have a really hard time with it. Vice versa would be the same issue. Changing strings on the opposite pick stroke that would make it easy

he doesn't do this in standard tuning cos he has to be in the correct tuning that the song is which is drop D and i think he hits the top string in this solo which is tuned down to a D so if it was in E it would sound out of tune and for Know Your Enemy he'd have to use his Zach Myers for the killswitch
The song has drop D (6th string only) , the album version was sped up slightly in mastering like Even Flow so to be in tune with the record you have to tune by ear to the record.
