Hello from Mauritius... We use handline.. By spooling on a pvc tube or a plastic bottle... It's very nice to fish with it.. I love it more than on my rods
Dont know what he is using but i grew up in Cuba using these and we used heavy line just to avoid tangles (spreads out line). Remember catching like a 1 pound fish with 100 pound line 😂
