    Do you own your own home? Theoretically your roommate paying you that money would go towards a mortgage or total rent if you rent. Unless you own the home outright and are just paying property taxes? No judgement just trying to see how you were thinking

    I wanna join but literally have no experience at 26. I feel like it would be pretty hard to get into the ibew

      Depends on your local and how competitive it is. Even if you make it in, there's no guarantee that you'll make it through your fifth year and journey out. Each year they cut guys out from the program from poor attendance, poor grades, poor work ethics, etc.

      @cpthegoldfish4236 I joined at 29 years old with no experience in the ibew. I knew nobody and still got in. We got a guy in our class at 38 years old. When my teacher joined the ibew they had a retired meteorologist at 54 years old joined.

      All of us took pay cuts to get started. The education is outstanding in the right program and you can even earn some machinery certifications.

    Hey,man! if you can start your own business,Would you get a good pay from that?

    • @PrecursorYang
      @PrecursorYang 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes, lots of guys wished that if they could do it all over again they'll open up their own company. It's easier said than done. Managing your own company is THE hardest thing you can do. Lots of guys see the $ and think that anyone can do it. Not really. It's more about managing your finances than working with your hands. Once you transition from the trades to a business owner, you'll find out that it's much more easier being a worker than a boss.

      @@PrecursorYang Of course.I'm agree with your point.But if you have your own company,you can get much more profit than a worker,right?
