Toner Cartridge Stuck in Brother Laser Printer! Won't release! Easy Fix

- I got this Brother HL-2270dw Laser Printer and when I tried to replace toner, I ran into a problem! The drum unit with toner cartridge would not come out! It was stuck! I was able to figure out the issue and release the drum! If you run into same issue, find this tab I show in the video and put it back into place. This works for a lot of B/W laser printers from brother, Canon, HP, Dell, and so on. They have a similar concept of locking the toner in printer.

Dude. Just wow. What did we do before TH-cam? I paused at 1:03, looked, yep (I dropped mine), took it out, now it's in a used eBay printer that came with a bad drum. You rock. I hated the thought of two printers ending up in a landfill.

Great video, but didn't solve my problem, so hope you have another idea. The arm you show as broken seems fine on my printer HL-2132 and moves in and out okay, but still can't remove the cartridge. When I print it just thumps and the print that comes out is basically nothing. It is a new toner. Thanks

Really appreciate this video. Been struggling with my printer for about twenty minutes. As soon as you pointed out that first tab I saw I had the same problem. Popped it out and the cartridge slid right out.

Saved my day. That little joint snapped off the lever and I could just reconnect it. After taking out the toner I found some Lego pieces in my printer that clogged it...

Help. #Brother DCP-7040. Still stuck. The piece you refer to is a bit loose but that’s all. I’ve opened and closed the cover numerous times but there’s no budging the drum/printer cartridges. Bought new drum unit and new toner cartridge to replace and now no way to even replace the toner cuz no clearance to remove it from stuck drum 😢.
I tried and that little thing / latch is out but still my cartridge unit not coming out and stuck on same left side. Even when i close the outer lid it closes but with some dificulty. I think there is some problem in side . Can you help me for that. Thanks.

He explained it very well, however in my case the release arm come out. It is not attacked to the printer. So it is stuck in the printer.
