11th Tara Yellow Vasudhara Mantra 108 Times: Tara Who Enriches and Brings Prosperity

- The Famous Prosperity Mantra of the Yellow Tara Vasudhara, the 11th Tara of 21 Taras in Lord Atisha's lineage, is a precious practice that alleviates poverty, brings prosperity and auspiciousness. The Mantra is:
om tare tuttare ture vasudharini svaha
ॐ तरे तुत्तरे तुरे वसुधरिनी स्वहा
This is an "enriching" supplication -- requesting prosperity to none other than Vasudhara (Mother Earth) who is Golden Yellow Tara (“vasudharani”).
Vasudhara Yellow Tara is also none other than Mother Earth as an Enlightened Bodhisattva. The goal of stable livelihood for the lay Buddhist is a noble one, enabling Buddhists to support the dedicated monastic community, and providing stability in life that gives the practitioner the ability to help others.

This chant is so serene and uplifting ❤ i would love to know the meaning of this chant 🙏
This is a supplication to yellow Tara in Sanskrit (11th of the 21 Taras) and means (by groups of syllables): Om Tare Tuttare Ture Vasudharini Svaha.
OM is homage to the Body Speech and Mind of Tara.
TARE, liberates and saves us from suffering in Samsara
TUTTARE liberates us from the 8 dangers of lions, elephants, fires, snakes, robbers, prisons, floods and demons, which also mirror the poisons of pride, delusion, hatred, jealousy, wrong views, greed, desire, attachment, doubt. Thus, Tuttare liberates us from every outer and inner danger.
TURE, liberates us from disease.
VASUDHARINI, supplicates her as Mother Earth Vasudhara in her enriching aspect (yellow) for prosperity and the bounty of mother earth.
SVAHA, is the root of the path, and means "be it so" or "well said."
(The symbolism of Yellow is earth (south in the Buddhist mandala) which is enriching.)
Hope that helps. We have a video explaining the meaning of the 21 Tara Supplicating Mantras here as well: th-cam.com/video/GSTZHJ_hjZY/w-d-xo.html&t

What if I skip Sunday in 21 days and yellow tara maa mantra is om tare tuttare ture pushtim karu svaha but in your video is different and on some platform is differ again so which one is original one
They are likely all correct (although we can't speak for someone else's TH-cam video, not all are correctly pronounced).
This mantra is certainly correct and proper Sanskrit as well, transmitted by Lama Zopa in Sanskrit and is Lord Atisha's ancient teaching lineage. (We also have a video (narrated not chanted) where we go through all 21 supplicating mantras of Lord Atisha lineage with pronunciation and meaning of the supplications as taught by Longchenpa here: th-cam.com/video/GSTZHJ_hjZY/w-d-xo.html&t
It's not a matter of which is correct, but which lineage you either prefer, or received (from a teacher if you are fortunate.) One other thing to bear in mind is appearances for your visualization are different with each lineage -- but on the other hand, they are ALL Tara (the visual image we visualize means something, just as the mantra words do) but Tara is not limited to one form. Every Tara in every one of the many lineages is still Tara. All the mantras start with "Om Tare Tuttare Ture" (which is her mantra and frees us from the eight dangers and fears) and the rest are usually supplications or requests for specific things (in the case of the 11th Tara normally for auspicious circumstances). (The above linked video is helpful for understanding this.)
There are 3 main lineages and several less well-known lineages. Tara mantras are all supplication mantras, and sometimes people supplicate (request) Tara for different activities. This particular Tara, Yellow Tara is Lord Atisha lineage. The other two main lineages are Surya Gupta (where she is black, not yellow, because she manifests as a more wrathful form of mother Earth (think of stormy mother earth). We have that mantra as a video, chanted by Yoko Dharma (however, this is Tibetan pronunciation) here: th-cam.com/video/l33-IsbBU5I/w-d-xo.html.
SO -- this is ALSO correct. It's Surya Gupta's great teaching lineage, the great Mahasiddha who received this transmission directly from Tara. (It is an older lineage).
The third major teaching lineage (actual there are multiple) are Nyingma terma lineages. We have a full written feature, describing all the Taras and their differences on our main website here: buddhaweekly.com/?p=17750
If you're interested in learning about Surya Gupta's lineage (which is more complicated as each Tara appears different) we have a very detailed 3-part series which starts with part 1 here: buddhaweekly.com/?p=10575
There is also a feature on BuddhaWeekly.com on the most popular Nyingma lineage, and a more than 20 features on the 21 Taras.
Hope this helps. In kindness, BW
" Om sri vasudara ratna nidhana kashetari shava" or om tara tutara pustim kura shava" which on is right?
Both are correct (there's a missing word in your second one, though) If you are practicing Atisha lineage 21 Taras (this lineage in the video), then it it is Om Tare Tuttare Ture Pushtim Kuru Svaha (dont' forget the Ture). If you are specifically practicing Vasudhara as a stand-alone practice, then Om Sri Vasudhara Ratna Nidhana Kashetri Svaha. These are practice mantras, from different lineages. Both are totally correct. Usually the 11th Tara Atisha lineage mantra is visualized as Yellow Tara with the vase (who is Vasudhara), rather than the more involved visualizations of Vasudhara. (Tara has many forms, at least 1008 are named in Sutra). If you received either of these from teachers, then, of course, practice that one. Vasudhara's mantra breakdown is: Om - Praising the Body, Speach and Mind of Vasudhara
Sri - is Sanskrit for “Abundance”
Vasudhara - the Name of the Goddess which means “Endless Stream of Jewels”
Ratna - indicates she belongs to the Ratna Family - in this context she emanates from Ratnasmbhava and is also the Co-Equal Wisdom Partner of Yellow Jambhala, the God of Wealth, who also emanates from Ratnasambhava
Nidhana - means “treasure” according to Mahāprajñāpāramitāśāstra (chapter 41. Also translates as “treasury of Dharma Jewel” according to the Gaganagañjaparipṛcchā: the eighth chapter of the Mahāsaṃnipāa.
Kashetri - “to cultivate” in this context, as in to “cultivate the treasure” which can be a spiritual or material treasure.
Svaha - “well said” and “so be it” or “thus it is”Otherwise, either is fine. We have a video on Vasudhara separately: th-cam.com/video/yKy169-PYHA/w-d-xo.html as well as a written feature here: buddhaweekly.com/stream-of-gems-vasudhara-the-buddhist-tara-goddess-of-wealth-and-prosperity-mother-earth-who-witnessed-buddhas-enlightenment/
Hope that helps. In kindness BW
