👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍I really like this plane and i want to build one with wheels. I do not speak German and i think I will need to translate the plans to English. I am a begginer builder with just one plane in my record...Jupiter Duck. I am not sure i will be able to build this plane in depron 3mm that is not sold in the USA. I noticed FLAPS in this plane, can you please confirm if this is correct ? Does this plane have FLAPS and Ailerons? I do not see any details in the plans about any aileron. Thanks for sharing your designs. Greetings from TX.
Hi Alex, thank you for your interest in CHOPPER! For translating the plan: I would use the app "Google Lens" by just pointing my mobile phone to the text. Even if not translated perfectly, you will know what it should mean. The aileron-dimension are shown in the plan on page 9 and 10, but as they are just an option for advanced pilots and builders, there are no further details given. For you as a beginner, I would suggest that you first build CHOPPER without ailerons and fly it. The upgrade to an aileron-version can be done later on without any trouble. I will soon add some helpful pictures how to convert the wing into an aileron-equipped wing in my website-gallery. So feel free to visit the webpage from time to time: www.lange-flugzeit.de/?post_type=publication&p=1425 Regards, Hilmar.
@@HilmarLange , thanks for your response. I know about the app but i have not realized its use until you mention it, excellent advice!!! I have been reading you website for the past three days tring to decide what to buil. I have a preference for slow planes with protected motor , so i do not destroy it in a crash. But Chopper is my favorite. Adding more pictures with those details would be very useful. Many thanks again !!!!!
Have you concidered Pinkus-EXTRA? This one is slower and therefore easier to fly for a beginner. You can also fly it without ailerons, which will simplify the build. But I don't want to say anything against CHOPPER if you chose it for you. Just to give you a helpful recommendation.
@@HilmarLange Yes I did, but to be honest i was intimidated with large number of parts and material combination. But i will give it another look . There is even a nice building video from Christoph Ulmann channel. I do not see flaps difficult to add , maybe use them is more challenging, just wanted to understand the video it it has flaps and ailerons or just aileron as in the plans. Many thanks for the comments and recomendation.!!
So you have seen it correctly: the plane has ailerons and flaps. In my video "Chopper playing at the beach" there's nothing but rudder and elevator, perhaps you have seen it yet? th-cam.com/video/Mvi6WimFEbQ/w-d-xo.html By the way, I added four pictures in my gallery of the Chopper-website which should give you a hint how to install and link the ailerons: www.lange-flugzeit.de/?post_type=publication&p=1425 The flaps are linked using a central servo, just the same way I did with my "Partenavia Jolly": www.lange-flugzeit.de/?post_type=publication&p=254 Flaps are a great option, as the plane reduces speed instantly. You can even cut out the flaps and glue them into down-position to the wings, without any servo. Some elevator-downtrim is needed in this case. Maybe around 3 mm. Best regards, Hilmar.
Dankeschön!
...und ansonsten: was soll ich sagen - bau' ihn Dir!

sehr schön !!
Sehr schön. Gefilmt in Südalaska?
