Great video as always. Sadly the speed car is just too slow. I've walked every speed car that I came across. Through whoops. Drag races and all the other boxes in my Pro R. I do think that there is a ton of potential. And in a few years they will work them out. I'm honestly not a hater of it by any means like a lot of people. But I know three personal friends who own them and the amount of full on failures there has been has been saddening to me. I want an el jefe once they step their game up!!
Thank you for the great video. I think it is really cool how you help so many people get back in the dunes after you fix their junkers so they can not have their weekend ruined with their under built and not tested vehicles. You should double your prices becuse youi are constantly saving the day so people can continue to enjoy their toys with their limited time away from work. I really enjoy your videos and thanks again for what you do.

Speed cars chassis design, welds, and suspension design is light years ahead of the rzr and can ams in person. Built more like a 10 car than a utv

@jabroni6199 put them side to side in person and you'll see the quality difference especially if you're a fabricator. Car has just came out versus cars that been out 10 -15 years.

You bring up a good point about the bucking (which was apparent in the video.). I cant imagine not being able to go to a something like a fox with on the fly adjustments like they do on g3 raptor. That would be next level to just have a little switch on the dash for 2 person or 4 person mode.

Bad turbos motors axles over heating issues hard to say it’s the best when customers breaking down all over the place.
Looks like you guys need some welding blankets. How many shock shafts have you destroyed by welding next to them? And cover the interior when welding too.
We have them, we cover cars all the time, as for shock shafts we have ruined None

I took it up comp. Ripped right up no problem.. as for olds I did not want to get too far out riding solo

Going up Olds, not very fast, but it’ll make it. Most of the ultra slow vids are reliability issues: turbos, sensors, weird clutching for the power, etc.
No one doubts the Speed’s suspension is dialed, nor that it’s beefy. The concern for me would be finding parts in 4 years.

How would you compare the acceleration and breaking compared to other brands?
Did it feel heavier in the dunes? And when you said you hit the woops in third gear, did you drive the whole time in overdrive?
Car is fast, went 70+ I'm sure it will be much faster with a tune and E85

I just like see one run with 300hp key , I saw Larue video Speed on dyno but wasn’t key car .
Everyone bought into the hype .. should have waited 2 years to see how they performed.. all I have heard is Speed has issues all over the car.. so sorry for the issues he is having.. I own a X3 have had it for 5 yrs only thing that broke was a belt..

Theres so much to know before operating one of those correctly. Oil temp, belt temp, the right gear, the 4 wheel drive system...but they rip after you get the speed key and have no fail safes activated.

one of ' those guys ' but I'll just throw it out there with regards to the X brace fabrication that it would of been beneficial for ease of welding and joint integrity to clean the corrosion off the weld areas and earth location. ( Possibly they were although it didn't appear so).
This would definitely assist with laying a consistent bead rather than the 'stacking tacks'. ( Our motorsport authority where I reside would revoke my certification if I was observed stacking tacks' on a safety cage )
That being said I have no knowledge of your tech requirements, customer's budget, labour time allocation, nor have intimate knowledge of its operating environment hazards......
And this is absolutely no way intending to discredit anyones character or skills as the arm repair shows knowledge of good fabrication procedure, it's just my penny of thought...............
Also I must note (yeh I know, 'that guy' that the wastegate take off is poor ( I'm aware it was not performed by you ).
Not the location on the housing but the exit angle. Why do so many just slam it on at a 90deg angle......see it so much. Yes drive pressure will seek a lower pressure area by nature of physics, just not very efficiently. I encounter so many creep issues with 90deg take offs like that. Often band-aided by an oversized gate or restrictive diverter plate in a misguided attempt to solve the problem when a less acute angle or priority path design would remedy this and can occasionally improve transient spool response and provide gate control.
I'll go back to the workshop now, poor tons better than behind a bashboard.....
Rust was completely cleaned in the weld areas and paint burned off with a troch

Definitely speed chassis is better than all brands of utv, but that’s it. Motor clutch turbo axles hp springs and belts are all weaker than any brand
Interesting, because in head to head tests the Speed UTV doesn’t come out on top as the best car

Those that dont know wash road whoops, they suck just as bad as sand highway. BTW that car is way over paddled but like most are patiently waiting for the Speed Key.

Tubing was cleaned/wire wheeled on the ends where welded, and the paint on chassis was also burned off with a torch..

No way that thing is funner than ripping wheelies in a tatum. The only difference is you didn't drive the tatum with someone telling you they didn't care if you broke it.

@@duneaddict thing tho it requires race E85 ( not cheap)to do stock canam polaris performance is the issue a bit behind plus it cancels warranty when speed powa is unloaded

I driven all sorts off cars and nothing impresive about that speed junk. I wouldnt take 1 if it was given to me. Its very questionable that eveyone that does honest reviews on how the speed is suddenly gets taken off youtube.

@@duneaddict I have been looking into buying a speed UTV or one of the newer cars but most everything I am seeing from the new owners are bad reviews on quality so I was hoping to see you actually try and break it and see what it can do or see what you were taking it through and and what speeds. Most all we could do is hear it and judge off of that

Go take that Speed thing up olds lol. Average is in the low 30s starting wide open at 70mph. That means in the teens towards the top.
A father and son wanted to go racing, so we did what we could to help them along the way..

What about the motor? How does it rate compared to everything else?
@@sxsoutlaws2666 totally stock it was like a Turbo S in Glamis, but we just started clutch tuning, they left a lot on the table as the generic tried to work with the Speed key (guess) and the 91, so it's lazy and we quickly picked up 500 RPM, which is over 10hp. Hopefully they figure out the E85 Key tune soon, but on the hard pack it's good, gets up to 86 mph, more coming soon...

@@robholly-jd3ni Im comparing the power feel, I've owned a Turbo S and used as an analogy... It will be stronger with the clutch tuning and I think with the key I bought for $1 it will be faster than a Pro R.... Can you buy another stock UTV for $32,001 and get 300hp? Chassis, suspension and handling is superior to a Pro R, I have both.
I'm not saying it's impressive, I'm telling you what it is.... We will find out pretty soon how impressive it will be with the clutching and E85.... BTW all my experience is documented on TH-cam almost 300 videos 😉
