I was having a lot of trouble with crack offs, videos advising only one rod length and a few turns on the reel. Finding Tom's video and switching to 3 rod lengths has changed everything, and i actually enjoy spombing now. Cheers Tom!
Tom is a master at this style of fishing in particular and it's taken years to be this good, you have to fish a lot to get anywhere near this fellas level. The best big hit carp angler in the country in my opinion.
I don't understand how the spomb and lead land in the same position. He seems to hit the clip with the lead with the rod vertical and not move the tip forward, but for the spomb he moves it forward. He's mentioned by moving it forward it allows the spomb to nose dive and 'always' open, but surely by allowing the tip to move forward it allows the spomb to fall a further 12ft further forward, meaning the bait and lead will be in different locations. Am I missing something?
Hope this don’t sound stupid but my set up is 3 13ft rods and a 12ft 6inch marker and spod rod and wondering when casting to the spot would the spod be falling short of the spot? All rods are rapped up on the distance sticks 12ft apart
Haha, yes sure you can just move pegs on linear. We all can’t book the whole lake like you guys. Most of us are lucky to find a free peg one their lakes.
All these videos about spodding not one actually shows us how to distance our spod rod should we bring our spod rod back a few feet depending on depth?
Keep your rod tips close together then look at your line to see if they are going out straight next to each other if one rod is over the other just switch them around! Comes with practice of fishing so tight.. I used to always get pissed of with it but once I started fishing tight all the time it became easy , practice makes perfect if your struggling just fish 2 rods tight on a spot and place your 3rd on another spot
Whichever best way if new is to find the spot you wanna fish with a marker rod then cast your rods to the marker then reel float down to lead and swap for a spomb then your bang on just fix a spot on far bank for accuracy in your mind. Hope that helps it's actually simpler than it sounds. Good luck
FOX: You may wish to review how you do the thumbnail for your videos. Whenever you've watched a TH-cam video on a desktop it puts a red line across the bottom of the video (so the user can tell which videos they have already watched) ...you've now started to put an orange line across the bottom of your video thumbnails which is easility mistaken for the red line indicating the video has already been viewed. Viewers may not watch your videos if they mistakenly assume they've already seen it.

Try it on a water like Burghfield or the tricky pits up north and see how you get on... Waters like Linnear its like shooting fish in a barrel
he truly is the machine at this style of fishing!.....some great tips as well...

Tom Maker the Spomb King
Hi Tom great video how did you put the float in there did you use glue it what was ya glue
2 part epoxy I will answer he is too busy with another 13 x 30's
What about taking in account the swingback of the lead and adjusting your wraps on the spod rod?
There's also stretch in the mono so under 6ft of water I wrap my rods to the same distance
10ft sorry
Tom's a machine, can catch em in the car park😁
6:13 that dog is a real retriever! Lazy as f*ck!🤣🤣🤣

No mate you are fine , as everything’s wrapped up to the same distance
Hi mate, im on a work lake exclusive on B1 in September I've drawn peg 4. Could I ask have you fished that peg? And any tips 🙏🏻
This guy man. He got everything given to him as a child now he gets everything given to him as an adult easy life Tom ay.
I'll be honest....i clicked quite quickly.....and only at 5 mins did I realise it was just a spodding video 😂
if my fishing rod 13 is bigger than spod rod 12, should i consider the difference when wrapped?

Legend thanks Tom
Spod mix looks expensive about 10 kilo of sticky krill £75 and corn and hemp great videos bud
That's what I mean mate he gets everything given to him for free always has done ever since a child.
@@adventures1919 must be great to be be a spoilt child ; )
Na hes a Sparky by day! Probably coining it in! 🤣
£75 thats cheap, I cant get it for less than £10 per kilo.
Great informative video
Sometimes mine won’t fly straight any reason why?
Interesting, my friend caught that fish 1 year ago today, from the swim next door!
How do you avoid the possible issue of your lines crossing over if your fishing on such a tight spot and your rigs landing crossed over with another?
Keep your rod tips close together then look at your line to see if they are going out straight next to each other if one rod is over the other just switch them around! @@jhutch2739 great advice, really appreciate it. Thanks very much
What bait is best
can over people tell me
What is the rod called
hi guys, is it best to get your rods out first in the area and then spomb over the top? I'm fairly new so any advice is good thanks.
Whichever best way if new is to find the spot you wanna fish with a marker rod then cast your rods to the marker then reel float down to lead and swap for a spomb then your bang on just fix a spot on far bank for accuracy in your mind. Hope that helps it's actually simpler than it sounds. Good luck
I use a finger stool when casting Mono long range🤣🤣
How does Tom clip up his rods in relation to his spomb please?
Tom clips up at exactly the same distance unless the water is over 10-12ft
@@fox_international What about over 12ft?
8-10 spombs to start with?! And there was me thinking 3 or 4 might be too many 😂😂😂
Depends were your fishing and the stock
Also what size spomb lol
What’s the rod name ?
Why you don’t use a spoon to load a spomb. 😂
🐐🐐🐐

So according to this guy you need a rod just to chum, not even to catch a fish. That's hilarious 😂😂😆😂
I’m guessing you are not from the UK lol?
Yes you do five in my armoury spod rod marker rod and 3 fishing
Effortless. I think I need to rethink how I cast!
