Hi kabita akka, i have been contemplating whether or not to comment publicly as I did not want it to be too sentimental. But my mum passed away a few months ago and i was a very pampered daughter. She hardly let me step into d kitchen. When she passed on I was 28 and I had not even made sambar (i still dont know how to handle tamarind proportions and im scared to try). These days ive been making alot of ur recipes and when i microwave it at work for lunch d next day the aroma spreads around the whole office and ppl are admiring my cooking hahaha. Im sure my mum is happy ure around to teach her daughter whom she din wanna disturb much with cooking coz she felt i was too tired with my studies and work. Thank u akka. I always keep aside some for my mum next to her photo whenever i cook so she also tastes my cooking which u taught.
Alamelu Prk My mother also passed away a year ago when I was 28. I miss her as well, especially for things like her cooking. True strength lies within. And we have plenty of it. Lots of love and hugs for you. It's the hardest thing ever.

I made this today it came out great. I did not fry the cauliflower or potatoes before, I just covered the pot and left it on med-low heat. I also added ginger and a bit of organic ketchup.

Recipe is tasty on its own. During my second trial I added to it, one and a half teaspoon of sugar and half lemon. The result was fantastic. You can try it.
