Hi Morten - I found your video while researching the Scala2 Booster Pumps. I live in the Tarlac Philippines and am struggling with poor water supply from the local utility (PrimeWater). My set up currently is: from city main (1 inch line) to a filter to an elevated 1500L storage tank then to a 1hp jet pump which fills a 300L Pressure tank (25-45psi) which supplies the house. My problem is that we live on small hill (about 20m above nominal street level) and the city water is only actually on (boosted) once per day from about 5am to 7am with very low pressure. The pressure is so low that it cannot get up to the storage tank to fill it. So, seeing that at first glance you seem to have a set up similar to mine, my questions for you are (if you know): Is the Scala2 a pump which will work if the supply is intermittent - only on for 2 hours every 24 hours? Or will it continually kick out and have to be manually reset, over and over? Will the pump sense that there is no incoming water flow (when city water is off) and then not try to come on even though the storage would accept more water? Thanks for any insight you can provide. When we moved to the PI 6 yrs ago I knew I would encounter issues, but the poor water supply here where we live is really frustrating.
-the only way you can solve that problem is to get a supply tank where your supply is from your distributor get enough buffer that can supply your house for 24 hours then put this pump in between your house and the tank and add some filters then you’re good to go
@@mortenmoe4510 Thanks for the reply. What you describe is pretty much the setup I have now, but with my pressure tank in place of a booster. But really I'm trying to find out if I can use a booster pump to pull water in from the city water lines. So although you didn't actually address my questions, I take you think it the Scala pump will NOT work with intermittent supply.
