TOO COLD FOR FOURWHEELER TO START

- Started up the ol' Honda Rancher 350 and brought it outside, but the engine wasn't warm and the choke doesn't work so it cut out... And then refused to start up again. It was about 5°f or so so you can see why lol.
It's edited down but it was at least 10 min from the time it died to the time when we got it up and running.

Sorry if I sound grouchy, it was super cold and the wheeler wouldn't start, so we were all a little on edge. It was all good though we all had a great time haha
If this machine has a carburetor, then you have to drill out what is called the welch plug on carburetor...this gives you access to an additional adjustment screw that will richen the fuel air mixture and actually help considerably...I have recently purchased 2 Honda Recon 250 and they would not start on Christmas morning very embarrassing for grandpa !!!!!!!!

Next time it’s like that you can open the air filter box take the air filter out hold the start put your hand over the hole for 1 or two seconds and it should start

Cool video! Used to happen to me, too, until I fixed my choke plunger in the carb!
Broknex yeah it was stuck before but after this ride it got unstuck. I guess old Hondas tend to fix themselves lol.
There is a primer on Honda's.depending on year of 4 wheeler its either on right side behind side cover.& On the left side on some model years.
The reason why I hate cold weather

Mine did the same thing it wouldn't even turn over a couple hours later when it warmed up a little it started
It should have a compression release on the right top side of the motor flip the lever up and hold it then try and started it releases the compression so the engine will turn over easier
Its not a 300
Had my 300 do this same thing at -15 degrees. Fired right up in half second the night before. Tried to kick over pressure release and kicked the hell outa it. Wouldnt start. Trying to do some research on how to start them when that happens

If the choke cable is stuck spay WD-40 down the cable
My Honda 350 did this I blowed it with hair dryer for 20 mins it started up good
its cold where im at and my atv wont start for nothing it has oil gas and good spark and i just got it a month ago its to cold idk if its cold tho
it’s even to cold for a hair blower

All I did to cold start my Honsa Rincon is I just kept trying to start it then kept flicking the light on and light off switch. Also if you don't ride often during winter you should

Lol believe it or not putting in garage does not automatically warm it up
Pimer button on the carb...press it 3-5 times it will fire right up

Definitely they are the toughest machines you can buy in my opinion
@@ThatDrummerBen even if this didnt start, you couldve manually choked it, primed it with gas down the intake a little bit or used a hair dryer on the bottom of engine to warm it up.
Mine doesn't start in cold weather

I think Sam has a hearing problem. A good slap might help restore that issue, or maybe his father just taught him not to listen.
There should be a primer on the carb

@@ThatDrummerBen buy a carbeurator that does, ebay doesnt sell good carbs or if they do its rare. Amazon sells ones with primers more than half the time.
