I was raised as an only child, and I LOVE being alone! I can do whatever I want whenever I want, and no one complains, nor interrupts me!!! It's a GREAT life! It means you are comfortable with yourself, and love, honor, and respect yourself! 🩷🩷🩷
The Guest House! As soon as you said it, I googled it and read it and thought, oh my god!!! Yes!!!! I love the idea of just letting my emotions be guests to learn from! Rumi slam dunks another one! I've actually always loved being alone (I think that's a common Piscean trait), but I have some friends who simply CAN'T be alone, so I've seen what that's like, and I think you're right, that letting oneself be swept up in yearning for someone can be avoidance of confronting our own unhealed wounds.
And thinking back to when I met my past person - it happened exactly when I had gotten to a place of emotional contentment on my own. That's when there was suddenly space for that new thing!
But once I realized that she wasn't going to let herself really open up to our connection (despite spontaneously admitting it a few times in spite of herself), I did try to put a boundary and not make myself so completely available - but I left the door open (on purpose) so she wouldn't feel abandoned.... and she came right back in about 5 weeks... only to slam the door in my face a few months later when she couldn't handle her own feelings and her old fears came up.
So I think this message of holding firm boundaries and clearing out lingering hold-ons to things that proved themselves not ready is SUCH good advice!
I've actually been consciously focusing on "4-of-swordsing" and "hang-maning" lately, specifically to release anything that's not healthy and meeting me all the way. So this message really felt in strong alignment with that, and helps give me some extra clarity about this choice!

I'm in my 50's, I know age doesn't matter, but I have literally been manifesting my one for 30 years. that's not to say that I haven't been in love or married, etc. but nothing has worked out, but I wasn't ready either. I had to dig deep and do the healing work on myself, love myself, value myself, after the sideways King of Swords. Now I'm closer than I've ever been. I'm manifesting new, not the past. I shut that door, because I deserve to be free and step into my destiny. My Life Path is a 22/4.
