This is my favourite Beyoncé song. It makes me cry everytime I watch that video. And when I listen to it. It just hits home. The first "calm" part is her setting the tone, telling us that what she has to say is important, the second part when she takes off sounds to me as her voicing her anger and frustrations that she is here, and that she's trying but it's not enough. That's just what her performance makes me feel, it might just be me tbh.
