- The first of two videos comparing these two awesome stepped V hull boats.
The TFL Outer Limits (aka Patron Saint/Lucky October) has been one of my favourites for a long time. She takes some beating for agility, handling and speed on virtually any water... from really choppy to glass top. Recently changed up the motor to a 3674 2250kV, and shortened the rudder mounting to bring it ahead of the prop. I know this boat will take more aggressive props, but for now the X438 suits the boat and isn't too challenging for the 120A Seaking with this 50k rpm motor.
An all round brilliant boat which still has scope to be even better.

l love my outerlimits, used it a lot on 6s only and haven't had a problem with the stock motor even though it's not rated for 6s. Will definitely go to a 3674 , very stable boat that I've never flipped. It's one of the best looking boats around. The shark looks beautiful and saw one on EBay that was so tempting to buy.
The stock set up on the Outer Limits is absolutely fine, but I found she ran quite hot when doing faster stuff. So changing up the motor and adding another water pick up under the stern (so the ESC and motor each get their own water supply) has really improved what was already a great boat. 👍
