Thank you very much for improving our English
I highly recommend learning English with Kevin
Good lesson
Very helpful.
I recommend watching your channel!💜 thanks 💝
If you are serious to learn professional English. This is the best channel. Not other channels , I have heard people speaking grammatically incorrect English but claiming that they are professional native English speakers
I recommend you watch all these videos on this channel "English for Everyone" if you want to improve your speaking skills and avoid the most important mistakes that are made by some people.
Keep up the good work.Im an English teacher in Cuba. Those explanations and clarifications are a must for any person learning English. Thanks a ton.
Thank you for teaching us so important English speaking practice. I recommend all my students watch your channel
I recommend that he study a lot of books.
One day we'll get rid of these so-called "teachers".
Keep going, all of your videos are invaluable for B2+ students who are able to distinguish useful content from "garbage".
Well done!!👍🔥
This channel is a world public service.
What a teacher ! Wow ! Let’s keep learning how to speak English in the right way. A master English class!
So love this channel, thanks god for having it. ❤
Good lesson sir. I didn't know that recommend must be used in a such order.
Thanks a lot for your work. It's really useful to whatch videos about different mistakes I started finding this mistakes in my own speech. For example today I said how is it called instead of what is it called in front of students. If I did it before I started watching your videos I would have made this mistake without noticing it
THESE mistakes (plural) or this MISTAKE (singular)
I was driving at that moment, so I used the voice typing. @@jaxxon98
I was driving so I used voice typing@@jaxxon98
If I had done it before I started watching your videos I would have made or I'd have made this mistake.....
@@jaxxon98 Oh my god! I was voice-to-texting at that moment because I was driving my car.
thank you so much for your help ♥︎
This channel is such a blessing, thank you!

PD: Sorry if there's a mistake in my writting😅
Keep it up Kev and Liza
Love you guys🎉🎉🎉!!!
Could you please make a video to explain the usage of entrust? I often see examples like ‘entrust someone to do something’, are they correct? Shouldn’t we use ‘entrust someone with doing something’?
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks, Kevin - that does make a change for me!)) Could I say: 'he recommends that restaurant to me'?
Thank you for this video, but could you help me understand, please, why the Oxford dictionary says that we can use “recommend somebody to do something” ? And it provides us with the following example: “We’d recommend you to book your flight early”
Is that a mistake?
Thank you in advance!!!
1:03 I *recommend buying* this binder
That’s something I never heard about… l thought the difference is “I recommend you…” (as a subject) or “l recommend for you…” (something). Cool!
👍
👍👍👍
Can you say something about meaning of satiate, sate, gorge and how to use them ?
I'd like to ask about using the "recommend" word. I found the structure " recommend somebody to do something" in the Oxford English and Longman dictionary. Is there something different about using it here?
1:35 I *recommend you watch it* *I recommend watching it*
👍 Thank you. I have a question. I was reading a book and found the sentences with "says I". Is it correct?
I feel like I need to unlearn the English that I have watching from TH-camrs. Goodness, I don’t feel confident anymore
That I have been watching. Or that I have watched
@@rolisfriends6725 see! Now I don’t know how to write! 😅 *that I have BEEN watching..*
Thanks for the lesson, but I have a question...
Why the other ladies make those mistakes if they are "Native Americans" ???
No. They are not native. The one is Russian, I think, and the other is a Latina.
@@prins1991 now I get it!!! Thanks for the reply!!!👍
1:43 Is this only true for American English? I have checked "youglish" with the term "recommend you to" and found 2 videos of (native I guess) British accent people speaking using this term.
PS: I have checked ChatGPT and it said that `recommend you to` is not grammatically correct.
Thanks again, Kevin!🔥🔥🔥
But I’m a little bit confused and I would be grateful to you if you somehow explain why this may happen?- long time ago I studied “English Grammar in Use” Third Edition by Raymond Murphy, and on the page 110, Unit 55 it is said that “should” is ok. And they give an example- “Jane suggested that I should ask your advice”.
Kevin, I understand that sometimes it’s a big difference between school English and real English, but can I ask you to pay attention to this issue ones again? It’s very important for me to be precise. Thank you so much in advance!🙏🙏🙏
Plus, this book says that we can use “recommend sb to do sth…” - “I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay in that hotel” (the same page)
That’s weird 🫠🫠🫠🫠
@@karina.pischik Yeah, that’s right. It would be great if Kevin somehow make it clear
What's the difference btwn ''don't you know & do you not know''???
Why ''I know NOT what I do'' instead of ''I don't know what I do''
Why ''forget me NOT '' instead of ''don't forget me''???? Thanks iin advance
Is she really native speaker? I can’t belive…
omg they both say they are native why they made such basic mistakes...unbelievable
I can't believe how confusing it is to use the verb recommend.!!! Whoever says learning English is easy, they are definetely wrong!!!
Thank you very much. However it is still not clear to me. Can I say: He recommended this book to me? Or should I say:He recommended reading this book? Could you please explain it in more details.
Why did you say that his doctor recommended him to exircise is not correct? I think it is correct
I have the same question, because the Oxford dictionary says that this structure also can be used…
Is Hadar a native English speaker?
No,she is from Israel...
a native would not make such a mistake
@@user-su4ir6me9m but She sounds American
She lived in the USA for several years. She had lessons with an accent coach.@@zenssdv493
The only that left from her it's being like "Hello, I'm Arianita la gringa and I'm from American".
What do you mean man ?
Is that a mixture between English and Poland or what ?. 😊.
Polish
The best English Channel there is
Can I say? My Dr recommended me not to eat sweets???
no, it will be "My Dr recommended I not eat sweets"
recommended me not eating sweets
Watch the video and pay attention to it
Old video
The problem is BrE native speakers have no problem saying "recommend me a good book"
What's more, BrE speakers don't use the subjunctive mode in everyday conversations:
AmE: His doctor recommends that he exercise every day.
BrE: His docotor recemmends that he exercises every day.
Are you from the USA or UK. ?.
I've never been to UK,so I don't know how they express it and I understand that americans say:
- "recomnend a goid book TO me.".
- his doctor recommends that he exercise everyday.
@@fredylopez2477 I can't paste a link here, so find a video called "What I Eat With a Stoma | Hannah Witton" and have a listen to what she says at 2:34 - "Do not recommend me diets."
