  • We drive the the Boso trail from Nossob to Mabuasehube and back. We camp at Matopi campsite 1 on our way to Mabua and again on our way back. In the Mabuasehube Game Reserve we camp at Mpayathutlwa Pan and Mabuasehube Pan. During our time in Mabua we encounter many lions, a thunderstorm and experience beautiful nature, extreme heat and spectacular night skies.

    Hi Juba, another lovely episode. Thank you! We were in Mabua in May this year and did the top road to Nossob (the one you need a permit for). It was dry and we saw lions "only" twice. However the magnificence of this place is such a blessing in itself. Safe journey!

    • @JubasJourney
      @JubasJourney  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Very nice video again, whoever does the recording is doing a fantastic job. I find myself googling where you are and where you're heading, might be a nice addition to the start of an episode (my 2 cents anyways). Keep up the good work!

      Thanks Peter, yes I thought about adding that. The first few episodes are all the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. I will add some animation of the route as we head into Namibia and more north.

    Wonderful video! I plan to visit the KTP next year, I usually travel alone. Are the roads easily passable?

    • @JubasJourney
      @JubasJourney  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Valerie Lusaka I would not recommend driving the roads in Mabuasehube alone if you do not have experience driving in 4x4 terrain. In certain areas, especially between Nossob and Mabua the sand can be very thick and loose. If you only plan to travel on the South African side of the park, it should not be a problem.

    • @valeriegr2776
      @valeriegr2776 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JubasJourney Thank you very much for your reply. I used to use a 4X4. Can we compare the routes of the KTP with those of Central Kalahari?

      Valerie Lusaka I have not been to Central Kalahari yet so I cannot say. 😀

      Botswana Department of Wildlife and National Parks and Inter Tourism group. Or you can make use of a booking agent. My wife wrote more about this on her blog. www.jackienotinthecity.com

    Its MKHULU with an "H", add the H. Asblf, we're fixing the country now M-K-H-U-L-U (meaning Old Man)

    • @JubasJourney
      @JubasJourney  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Jerry Ngobese. Thanks for your comment. Yes you are right, but mkulu or mkhulu is used in many african languages and the spelling is not always the same. I think the name was derived from Chichewa, and the word “kulu” The name was given to the vehicle 11 years ago so the name will stay. Mkulu meaning “big” will stay its name 😀
