Super good cover, I can now play this! How do you get your snare to sound so good? What kind of drums are those?

Thanks! :) the drums are pearl vision vsx, the cymbals mostly paiste alphas. I have a Ludwig Black Magic 14x8 snare. The 8 inches make it naturally sound very huge. Then I use an „Evans EC Edge Control Snare RE“ drumhead plus an Evans control ring (the ring only costs a few bucks but it eliminates the annoying overtones and makes the snare sound fat). Then don’t tune it too high (you know, so it doesn’t sound like RHCP or stuff like that), but rather low. Be careful, not too low since you will lose the attack and the snare will sound boxy. Then also EQing and compression while editing the recorded track is important. Here I would start working with presets in Cubase or whatever DAW you use to find a good sound and from there optimize it from time to time until you get a good sound :) it will take a while but eventually you’ll get there!
Going through learning this myself! Beautiful cover man- hellla well done!! If you don't mind me asking what heads are you using on your kit and what crash/high hats? Thanks in advance and keep it dude!

Thanks! :) I‘m using Evans EC Edge Control for the Snare and Remo emperor clear for the toms. Kick should be remo powerstroke. Crashs and Ride are Paiste Alpha metal (the crashs are extremely loud unfortunately) and hihat is Paiste alpha rock
Wow thanks for 30k views!❤️ check out my band if you like: th-cam.com/video/K5smOh3vyKE/w-d-xo.html

@@syer3789 the floor tom is the drum that sits on the floor. Typically sits to the right of the drummer.
