Leave your comment here with your thoughts about this Cajon2Go, thanks!
It sounds surprisingly good and I think is a very good option to have to practice on while traveling. It is also very compact
That’s basically what I was going to say as well!
The sound surprised me!
Yes, I think for the price it’s good to have it for traveling 😉
LOL, my 4 grandkids keep wanting to play "With" my Cajon... I think I know what they are getting for Christmas... My daughter will LOVE me! LOL
Great!
The sound is surprisingly good, it is crazy, totally out of my expectation
I think the Cajon2go is a great option for someone who wants to try out the Cajon without spending a ton of money right out the gate.
I can also see where a musician who needs to travel but is extremely limited on space would love this! Great video man!
Agreed! Thanks for you comment 😉🙏
Funny and fancy option to conventional cajons 😆👍. I was surprised by the good snare sound, but wasn't satisfied by the bass. As far as I could hear it, the bass sounds like cardboard (well ... actually IT IS! 😉). Thank you for this video, Felipe!
Thanks Andreas!
Nice vid! Always thing these carton cajon is very interesting. :)
Glad you liked it! Yes it is, and for only $23 I think is good to have it 😉👍🏻
I love the sound!
For the price, it’s a must! 😉
Thanks for msgs, Felipe. I just unboxed one of these little gems - so can get going on your beginers lessons. The carton it came in makes a great 'pizza box' for practicing drum brushes too. Cheers! Jane M.
Glad it was helpful! enjoy t it and let me know how it goes ;)
Bought one for practice at the office :)
Best unboxing video ever
Thanks! Glad you like it 👍🏻🙏
Very interesting!! Good for practice!
Glad you think so! Cheap and practical option to practice and for those who are starting out ;)
It sounds good but I wonder how it would be at a jam night unplugged with no microphone. Also durability would be a problem but I can see it could be useful especially if you just wanted to try out the cajon. Great video, thanks they are always informative and interesting. Best cajon lessons anywhere period.
Hi Dobson! thanks for your words 🙏 The volume is ok to play with other unplugged instruments like an acoustic guitar. But, if you play with other musicians that have amps etc, you'll need a mic.
What a great great idea and what a good design. Thick cardboard and two elastic bands.
The sound isn't that bad, even quitte good! The price is a laugh, very affordable for anyone, every project and every school. Great oppertunity to get familiar with rythm in general.
Please upgrade to snarebristles.
Agreed! This is great chance to get started ;) cheers Joris!
Thanks Felipe. Not sure what purpose a cardboard cajon has. While there is a noticeable difference between the bass and snare sounds, overall it has a pretty dead sound. I have a Sela cajon with a similar snare and I do not like it. My Meinl artisan, which uses the vertical "strings", has a much better sound than the Sela. While I am sure someone might have use for it, I can't imagine getting one for anything I do. I supposed someone could get one just to try it out, but cheap cajons are available for around 50 dollars and I bet a used one would be even less. Great video my friend. I look forward to more advanced playing technique videos.
Thanks for your words my friend! The new courses are on the way and I think they will suit your needs 😉
Yeah it's basically just a glorified cardboard box 😄😄😄
Very cool!!!
glad you liked it my friend! cheers
This is very suprising.wow
Glad you like it 👍🏻
Hello sir
Do you think this would be a good Cajon to keep in the back of my car with my ukulele for any impromptu jam sessions when I'm out and about? It looks like it's nice and compact for travelling.
I'm thinking it could also be good to keep around for when any song recording inspiration strikes when I'm out in my car (one only uses the Uke, but I think a mobile Cajon for those drum beats would be very useful).
Thank you for your review 🙂
Yes, absolutely!
Nice video Felipe
Cheers Corina! 🙏
Do you think it would be ok to weather proof it by painting a light amount of modgepog on the outside?
How did you get on ? Spray lacquer?
Filipe, can you post a follow up video and let us know how the cardboard is holding up after a couple weeks?
I will do that soon 😉
Thanks for the test, but I préfère the wood type,! Keep up the good work.
thanks for your comment! 🙏
Is this strong enough for a heavy person? What do you think about the sound, Felipe? Cheers
Hi Horacio, it says "holds up to 150kg". The sound is what you hear in the video. For the price and Material I think its sounds good!
i like cajon
It definetly does not sound as good as a wooden cajon, but it can be an interesting option to practice at home without anoying the neighbours to much. 😀
Off topic: Would it be possible that you review one of the Kala cajons? They are very affordable but there is practically no content on YT about them.
Thanks for your comment Viktor! I will have a look ;) cheers
My neighbours connect to our stereo via Bluetooth and blast SoundCloud rappers while my kids nap, so I will loudly practi e my drum all I want 🤣 this is war!
I’m from Hong Kong and I found a seller selling this for 100% new (only opened once) for $50 HKD or $8 USD, it’s a good deal right??
Go for it ;)
@@CajonMaster OK,Thanks for your reply!!
Is it a practice or performance cajon
I think it’s more of practice cajon, because of the low volume compared to a wood cajon. Of course you can play a small gig with a mic 😉 Cheers!
Is it recommend to use pedal?
It does not work with a pedal because of the material (cardboard). This is a portable and not expensive instrument to practice when you are travelling. (Practice only)
But what's the weight limit before it crushes flat?
I don't know exactly but it seems to be a very strong card board.
How does the durability seem to be with it? I’m assuming that after using it a few times you will have weak edges, etc? Is it more of a thing you’d just expect to use a few times when traveling? I can’t hardly believe it would hold up over time.
Love the video, by the way. It is cool to see a product like this developing.
Hi mat, I'm using it for a month now, playing a little bit almost everyday and it seems to last longer than you expect. Anyway I will let you know after few months ;) Thanks for your comment 🙏
I have used it for several months as a kind of practice pad. It really holds quite well. Top surface (on which you seat) has some deformation, but not that much to cause a problem
You should make a cajon giveaway that would be awsome
Soon my friend 😉🙏
A microphone near the back hole, or laying in the box itself, would give much bigger bass.
Agreed! In this video I've used only one condenser to get the ambience sound to show the real acoustic sound ;)
Don’t forget to sit on it for better sound
Berapa mas?
My mild OCD won’t let me sit on cardboard 🤣
Nice one! 😂
I think it's not enough for me, even the sound is not what I want!
Thanks for your comment Rafi!
To be honest ,my desk top in office have a better sound :)
Looks like an inexpensive way for a beginner to see if a Cajon is the right instrument choice before purchasing a more costly wood Cajon.
Indeed! Very good way to discover the instrument 😉🙏
