You can also removed the sliders pretty easily. A fully assembled cabinet ways about 700 pounds. When I took the drawers and sliders out me and my wife were able to move it to my basement.
Robert Johnson Haha....new they are very expensive....but Vidmar & Lista cabinets can be found at auctions, estate sales, craigslist, surplus, etc for MUCH cheaper. When you figure in the amount of weight they hold (400 lbs per drawer), you really cannot beat them for the money. Most store brand toolboxes hold 50 lbs per drawer. These are extremely heavy duty & would last a lifetime.
GigaDonk The older ones (like the ones in the video) look similar, but the dimensions & drawer rails are slightly different. Also, with these particular units the Lista (green) has a drawer lock bar that engages when one drawer is pulled out to prevent any other drawers from being able to open at the same time. The Vidmar (grey) could open all the drawers at once, but if they were loaded the box could fall over. The new Vidmar & Lista boxes are very similar I think, since both companies are now owned by SBD (Stanley Black & Decker).

When the drawer is stuck in partially open and closed how do you get it free
what are the threaded inserts on the tops of the cabinets for?
I think it was for a vice that they also sold…..but my vice had a big larger footprint.
If they are stuck what do you do
Cool info, and thanks for sharing!
Matthew Fant Hopefully this will help people who are looking into buying one of these cabinets & need to know how to (safely) move it!
Absolutely! 400 lbs capacity per drawer? That's damn impressive!
Something tells me these cabinets cost more than my truck did. Cool tutorial video though for wealthy people though. :-)
Thank you for uploading!

StockVideoFootage Vidmar = "VIDE-MAR".....at least that is how the people at the company told me it was pronounced.
