- In this week's review, we go over an odd coin series commemorating the 200th Anniversary of the War of 1812.
I stack gold and silver to hedge against our debt-fueled, fiat currency-based economy that I am convinced is in severe trouble. Consider stacking silver and gold yourself to help you build and preserve wealth. And thank you for watching Campbell’s Coins!

What an odd series. Wow! First I’ve heard of these. “FeeBay…”. Haha. Great video bro.
😆 you get my little jests. Thanks man.
The history of Canada at that time is very interesting. I recently picked up a half penny token which is a tribute to Sir Isaac Brock, the Hero of Upper Canada, dated 1816. He was a British officer who is credited with defeating the Americans at the battle of Detroit and was killed in battle shortly after.
I'll have to look that up. Thanks for sharing!
Platinum coin looks awesome. Thanks for sharing the info, CC.
Thanks for watching!
@@CampbellsCoins good morning. Check BGASC w3bs1te they have that gold coin on 8ale. It is cheaper than any other 1/4 oz coins (maple &brit, age, etc).
Those are beautiful 🤩 anything from the rcm is A+
Yes they are! 100%
Weird... but cool. Very nice coins!
Thanks much!
Very good history lesson in your content, young man!
Was not aware of these, thanks for the info! The platinum looked amazing!
You bet!
Very interesting. Thank you for sharing. 👍
Thanks for stopping by!
I literally just picked up all 3 of these over the last dip. Got the last platinum off apmex bought the gold from silver gold bull, and my local shop had the silver.
Putinbay (put-n-bay) ohio has Perry's monument. Oliver Hazard Perry a US naval commander fought and won a battle there and basically captured the British fleet in the Great lakes. The only period in time naval battles happened on the great lakes.
The local history is why i wanted these coins, and for less than equivalent American coins. I bought those too 😅
I dig um 👍 very cool 😎
Thanks 👍 I think they are neat.
I luv the platinum coin. Every Time I go to buy one at Silver Gold Bull they are sold out or sell out relatively fast. The platinum version usually has a reasonable premium at Silver Gold Bull when they are in stock. I just luv that half oz platinum size. Thankyou
I totally agree!
That platinum coin was stunning. Great series! I really think you can use it to plant a collecting bug into some people who might simply be stackers at this point.
Canada does make some cool and interesting coins
One of the few who do. At least they put in quality work for most of them.
@@CampbellsCoins are these coins worth more or less than a regular maple my LCS has now sold me 2 because there out of regular 1/4oz I hope I didn’t get like a shity coin or something because I’m new to this?
I used to teach a class on 1812. Specifically how it played into the various Indian wars and that dang thing we call Manifest Destiny.
A lot went on leading up to it and afterwards. It's affects have reverberated within this country but few know it only by name.
Please tell me more. Need to teach on this.
Got the silver oz
Nice!
Another interesting thing about 1812, that most Americans don't know about:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burning_of_Washington
Have you seen Canada’s death dollar coin?
It's possible but I don't know one by that name. Send me a pic on IG.
@@CampbellsCoins otherwise called the totem pole coin. I think 1958
I have 2 1/4 oz
First I’ve seen of these…meh
Haha, yeah, they aren't for everyone. Thanks for stopping by man!
