    At first I thought your Video is on double speed, but you are really speedy with your work and talking. Like your videos, so much information. Very good explained.

    Another great Vid Chuck. Not sure how this would work with hit bees. I take a box store spray bottle. 1 to 1 with a 1/8 TSP Hivealive and Vanilla. Pull a frame out of each, spread the frames a little and mist them. Give a good spray at the entrance. The foragers (most likely to be feisty) drag on their legs. Have done it a dozen times no issues.
    I've found that having the wax fresh and I roll it on fairly heavy has them draw them out incredibly fast.

    Just bought some jars for top feeders and my hole saw- everything is going well with the nuc so far and queens - excited to get back in the apiary.
    Also you said that would be a good idea I think for a video- the hole saw top jar feeder I think. Thanks chuck!

      I should make a video about the hole saw, you are right! I used my hole saw today!

    Hi Chuck, new beekeeper, (on a beginners course with local association) a lot of differences between beekeeping in Florida compared to Scotland UK, but I'd imagine the fundamentals are the same? Anyway, I love watching your videos and your energy is infectious! Thanks a lot.

    Thank you very helpful video, wondered in your experience is 11 days too soon to see eggs after spotting a virgin queen. I saw her march 10th and took a very quick look today , did not see anything. I was going to give it another week

      Give her another week, weather and timing can fool us easily. Don't rush it.

    I’m over here enjoying the informative video but my ADD won’t let me let go of your hive tool pocket protector/holder thing: where did you get it!? Lol

      He 3D prints his own stuff!

      Yes .. that is version three of my own magnetic hive tool holder I am designing and modeling ... this one has 20 magnets imbedded in the plastic. I insert the magnets halfway through the print.

    So no issue with putting the new hive with the old queen in the same yard as the old hive with swarm cells? No chance the bees would all go to the hive with the old queen?

      If they have brood, they usually stay with it.

    Great video. Question ... did the observation hive swarm?

    • @chuckshoneybees
      @chuckshoneybees  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It swarmed today finally after filming this video. They hung out high in a tree for about three hours and then left to parts unknown.

    ? if the flow on why do you have a feeder in still

    • @chuckshoneybees
      @chuckshoneybees  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Those feeders are all in my nucs, swarms captures or mating nucs and they are all smaller without the right forager forces to grow as quickly and add wax to foundation as quickly as a flow can do. Unless you saw a inner feeder in one of my deep boxes.. it was in there without any food if that is what you saw.
