Before PHH Morgan kicked in, then.
The “Likes” dialogue suggests that the Rain clan actually took good care of her and she had a reasonably good upbringing. After all, she doesn’t seem quite as….uncertain as Castoria? Good to see atleast one of the Avalon Le Fae had a happy childhood. The Rain clan didn’t deserve to be wiped out.
Man... If only "the real" mirror clan don't get massacre by melusin...
When Morgan came to fairy Britain, not only did the rain clan adopted her they made her their princess. The difference in treatment and status between Morgan and Castoria on where they landed is beyond night and day that it's not even funny.
Being treated with love, kindness, and acceptance pretty much encourage Morgan to try to save Fairy Britain but......well we know how things go.
As for being wiped out.....yeah Rain clan were the only clan that seemed to accept the idea/concept of repenting compared to the other clans.
They did push her a bit to become the savior, but they did actually treated her like one of them. Hell her profile mentions her "sister" sacrificed herself so she could escape from the destruccion of the Rain clan.
You know, now that I think about it, maybe Aesc’s and Castoria’s upbringings were what determined their fates. Aesc never saw the faeries for their true nature when she was growing up while Castoria did, making Castoria more weary of them. Now while Aesc did see faeries for their true nature when she became the Morgan we know in LB6, Castoria did have a bit of an edge at the start.
They are truly the opposite of Tintagel
Contrary to Tintagel (the town where Castoria was raised), the Rain Clan was from the looks of it, entirely filled with good and kind faes, and their genocide was the beggining of Morgan's fall. She was raised in a lovely clan and forsaked her destiny, and their death, along other things, end up turning her bitter and dying alone and hated by everyone except for a handful of them. Castoria was raised in a place where she wasn't fully loved, but she never forgot her destiny, and at the end she didn't die alone and there were even people grieving for her.
Ironic and sad... I always saw Castoria as some kind of kohai and loved to see how she grow up. Morgan though, everything about it was heartbreaking and seeing how she was and knowing how it would end....
Yeah, I am not lettting anyone hurt her, and you shouldn't either.
Tbf, even Castoria kept considering abandonning her duty. She already knew how rotten the faeries are from the very beginning. But as people keep placing their expectation on her, she was uncertain of what she should do until she met Chaldea and gradually change during her journey. In the end, she accepted her own duty for herself just because she wanted it.
Meanwhile, Morgan started as a pure fairy who genuinely wanted to save everything. But after countless of betrayals and seeing the faeries' rotten true self, she gave up on them and abandoned their duty.
The contrast of Castoria and Morgan here is Morgan started on a positive point, where she was genuine on her duty and loved by those around her, and gradually went to the negative side as she experienced hell again and again. While Castoria is the exact opposite. She started on the negative point. No one trully loved her, she didn't have her own will, and after some times, realized that most faeries are evil and not worth saving. But as she met more people starting from Ector, ironically Oberon (just his voice), and us in the end, she gradually went from the uncertain negative point to the final positive positive point. So in short, one started at a good beginning but get the bad ending. While the other started at the worst possible beginning, but get the good ending. Pretty tragic ngl.

@@joseph32jk She would have definetly failed. It was pretty much fated for us to meet Castoria.
That being said, there was also this strong wish, VERY strong wish, that was not part of fate, to also have met Tonelico to at least take some of that weight out of her.
And after 2 years, it seems this wish will turn into reality, or even better, fated to happen

Is Yui Ishikawa voicing ascension 1 and 2? I’m used to her Morgan/“Mikasa” voice. Crazy how similar Tonelico sounds like Castoria. Props to the VA.
Yes, all her forms are by Yui Ishikawa. She sounds around the same range as her other role, Violet Evergarden
Watch the anime with the Big Black Cat this season. You'll be surprised how laidoff Ishikawa-san's voice can be.

Usually I like her cold tone voice like for Morgan, 2B, Alpha, and Violet. But this kind of voice is kinda fresh and refreshing for me

Considering LB6's popularity in JP this was probably something a lot over there asked for, so I'd say this was the right move honestly. A lot of the times the EN side of things or those toxic EN people who play JP have no right to speak, considering they tend to only want stuff based on meta anyways.
Cant wait for the "totally accurate translations" by EN people of the jp side that say they hate it too. That sort of thing happens in every fandom at moments like these too lol
She is not the problem. The problem(at least for me) is that we basically didn't get a anniversary servant. They just took the would be most popular swimsuit servant and put them in the anniversary slot. This wasn't as much a anniversary as it was a summer 8 pre banner

Don't forget the Rain Clan. Aesc's profile showcases they legit had no ulterior motives in raising her and gave her all the love and kindness to give her fond memories when she goes on her pilgrimage. This is a huge part of what motivated her to save Britain by letting it remain existing.

The pruning of Fairy Britain was worth it since they got mad at a cinnamon roll like her, and I'd do it again with poison & metals on the ready if something as painful happened again.

I already said it before somehwere. If not because of the fact that the calamities can go to the phh and destroy it, I will gladly let Cernunnos do his job. I will just sit on the Storm Border's deck, and enjoy the faeries' scream as I'm snacking on salty mapo tofus and Sakura's homemade bentos.

Rain clan and Mirror clan are like 2 out of 7 clans that deserve to live. Imagine 2/7 world's population is good and the other 5 are bad.
Now if you think about it. The Mirror clan can see the future so they probably know about the attacks of the Wind, Earth, Fang, and Wing clans but they didn't try to warn the Rain clan. They also forsee their own demise by Melusine but they have no resistance. So to them, the future is set in stone and cannot be changed.

Oh yeah I forgot that she popped out at Orkney and got taken under the Rain clan while our Caster popped out at Tintagel. Usual Avalon business I suppose.
But damn she's pretty merciful for allowing the fairies to live instead of capturing them under constant torture and reinstate a new humanity from the clones of the Priestess

I know she's supposed to be the younger version of morgan, but am i the only one who thinks her 1st ascension looks more mature than the morgan we know?
I just get that "nice lady who lives just outside the village" or "who lives just down the street" vibes from her.
She even comments on how revealing Morgan's outfit is, just like how someone in their 30s would look at a teen and complain about them wearing too little.
This basically her before the Rain clan tragedy and the clan take really good care of her resulting of this good upbringing.

Why does she and Artoria have the same face? If Morgana from the world of Saber has the same appearance, then it is terrible to realize that she gave birth to Mordred from her twin sister. Just a family of Saber faces.
Without going into it too much, Aesc is the original Avalon le Fae while Castoria is the second one after her.

For anyone wondering, no Tonelico is not a word in Japanese. It has no actual history and is literally from a made up language designed to appear vague enough to appear like it would fit any language by someone for a video game in case of translation issues.

It is a rune in norse (changed to Aesc in the Anglo-Saxon version of runes), originally known as Ansuz, that means _oak_ or _ash_
Since Tonelico means "ash tree", the localizers changed her name, so now everyone calls her by the localized name. It's a similar thing with the Altria vs Artoria.
Yes, it's her localized name in NA. But for further context, Aesc and Tonelico share the same exact meaning though.

What's the difference really... She just got released earlier than other summer units. I think it's better than how they made 3 summer banners last year. 1 anniv banner and 3 summer banners in a row are hell. Now from the look of it, I think they will just throw 2 summer banners with Castoria-Suzuka-Chloe in banner 1 and Melusine-Barghest-Sith in banner 2.

Unlike Artoria/Altria, which was an unnecessary and incorrect change forced by Nasu, Aesc is actually smart. It means the same thing as Tonelico, and actually fits more as an Old English term, instead of a randomly Japanese name on a British fae. We just got used to Tonelico over the 2 years before it got localized, but while there are those (including myself) who resisted change, many have come around to it.
@@PhoenixBlazer39 ehhhh 1 not forced by nasu in an interview nasu says he dosnt work with translation cause he know he is bad at English he only answers what the kanjis mean that’s it, however the person likely responsible for altria is the lead of romanization at type moon(should be Able to check on their website iirc), also one stuff I disagree with sure they mean they same shit but u realize right the point of tonelico is the fact that she is a fairy that arrived in Britain from outside Britain, it dosnt make sense for her to have an english/Nordic localization when she herself is a fairy not from Britain, also the na team has freedom of doing shit its not like nasu is breathing down their neck 24/7 and there a lot of bad translation moments, like in heian kyo where the scene shuten goes oh yeh kintoki you have blue eyes in the jp text it said that one time than shuten said you have pure eyes(pure eyes are a type of mystic eyes that allows one to sense the aura of individuals as such it’s easy for them to spot demons in hiding this is a tsukihime reference) there are many examples, like tree of emptiness actually being fantasy/galaxy trees I can get on and on about the terms they get wrong, in short it’s both sides bein not good at their jobs

Bruh, do your research: Aesc = Tonelico = Ash tree. Tonelico means jackshit in English, the name only has meaning in JP, so they changed it. Bet it was Nasu but for once it makes sense.
Altria is Nasu's stupidity, and their incompetence is actually naming LB6 "The moment a planet is born" instead of "...Star is born"

She's probably referring to the head of the Rain Clan, her adoptive mother. "High Queen" is what's throwing you off, since it's Morgan's title as ruler of all of Britain.
