Thank you for watching our video! Some takeaway points:
    - Plot Twists should add to the story and create a whole new dimension to the story
    - They should be a surprise, while still being somewhat foreseeable
    - They should make the show better on subsequent rewatches, and not take away from it

I think you’ll notice that we neglected to mention a very popular cult classic film with an unreliable narrator and plot twist… and that’s because the rules dictate we cannot talk about it.

i kinda saw it coming, not him having locked up marianne and committed all the murders but i did have a strong sense of 'this is all too good to be true, there's gonna be some type of reveal that'll change everything that's happened this season so far cause this is still joe we're talking about'. he's been an unreliable narrator since the beginning and i didn't expect him to have suddenly had a major change of character without any therapy, the whole first part of s4 felt like it was building up to a huge plot twist where he had been doing evil stuff all along cause it was all so out of character and unlike the show in general. i found it very strange they were suddenly going for him being a hero detective solving the case of other people's crimes so i just figured that must've been a ruse to mislead us, and if it wasn't i would've been so disappointed

I agree that it came too out of nowhere. I think it would have made more sense had he still had his child to take care of, which could have fuelled a desire to change. But, I think what makes the twist hood is that it was obvious to see coming. Therefore, we got to take a very interesting perspective on Joe’s state of mind. Thanks for commenting!

I think one of the funniest but really tragic plot twists is in Bullet trains.
    (Spoilers down below)
So Brad Pitt’s character (Lady bug) is on the train because the guy who was supposed to be there called in sick from a stomach flu.
The white death orchestrated the entire event just so he can kill Carver, cause carver and thus Ladybugs company had killed The white deaths wife.
The white death funny enough is not really the villain of the story, it’s actually Ladybugs organization. They also hired the Viper to kill the surgeon that could’ve saved the white deaths family, as well as poisoned the Wolfs entire family.
They were also responsible for the Bolivia job. While yea lady bug is only hired to do snatch and grab jobs, his company are the ones who actually been doing all these horrible things that funny enough brought all these characters to fight.

Loved bullet train. While I agree with most of what you said, especially the part about how it all led to the characters intentionally meeting each other, I actually didn’t really like the plot twist of bullet train. Don’t get me wrong, the move was great, and the plot twist definitely added to the wackiness, but I think we can agree bullet train was good for its entertainment value rather than its story (it still had an okay story). So, I thought the plot twist was just okay. I loved your point about the company being the real antagonist, though, as that was definitely super interesting! The idea of coincidence actually being intentional added so much to the movie now that you mention it. Thank you for commenting again!

@@thedefinitiveopinion I understand your point about the twist not being to your liking. I think the twist is good and has a funny backstory to it. So Ryan Reynolds was in it because he and Brad Pitt had a deal where they would have a cameo in each other’s movie. So dead pool 2 Brad Pitt was the invisible dude, and Ryan was carver lol.
