Yeah I feel the writer didn't really take the time to research these rangers. Cam felt like the opposite of his character on the show. The Mike and Tanya relationship was a bit weird. Didnt care for the solor ranger and the other girl. Half the time I couldnt remember who was who. The way some of the panels were you had to re read it because it seemed out of order. And the drawing of the depowered rangers you couldnt tell whoses whos. And seemed out of character that they resented the rangers with power still when kind of the history of rangers is once a ranger always a ranger.
@@stevenmartinez7360 I disagree about Cam. He was uptight in the show and all, but he wasn’t entirely humorless. Besides, Cam himself in the comic points out that he doesn’t usually act like this, and that the circumstances had kinda made him take up the role his usual team-mates fill.
With how technology is nowadays, I wish these developers made a mmo power rangers game. Or at least, multiplayer open world. I'm almost 40. Still love the rangers. Well, comics version. Fire!
This story arc had a lot of potential. I love makeshift teams and I'm glad there were some rangers here that don't really get the spotlight and got to somewhat shine here, especially Mike (Magna Defender) being one of my personal favorites. I'm glad he got more screen time, although the writing could of been better and the relationship with him and Tanya could of been fleshed out a little more. I thought the concept of the Solar Rangers in another universe was cool too, I enjoyed the bit for what it was but I can see why a lot of fans quickly lost interest on this one.
God id kill for the solar rangers to get there own series ala ranger slayer. Starting with two and forming there own team finding members issue by issue could be so rad.
wasted opportunity in this series was showing more of the powerless rangers adapting to this apocalyptic setting . We only got a peak with casey(jungle) doing combat training and a few others .
I think this next arc Aftermath might make this arc more relevant retroactively. I originally thought the threat Drakkon spoke of was the Morphin Masters, but after listening to this read-through and revisiting this storyline, maybe the threat he spoke of was the evil the Masters fought

You know that the comics are amazing when Hasbro been selling Drakkon, Psycho Green, and Ranger Slayer toys in their "Lightning Collection series"
