No. They don't underestimate him. I really love Winwin, he is amazing, but honestly I think he needs more time to improve his vocals. I trust SM with this though, they have good training programs. Winwin's time will come. I believe he's training hard to improve himself. They would not invite Winwin if they didn't think he had potential, i feel like they have a plan for him.

I find Winwin to have an absolutely insane amount of "control" and "restraint" (for lack of better words to describe his dance style). His dance moves can be very grand and open, but always very controlled. There's not a SINGLE moment where he would lose that graceful control and opt for the "explosive powerful style" of, for example, Lucas from his same group. This kind of inner restraint gives him a sort of mysterious, alluring and poetic aura that's very very rare in Kpop and just pop dances in general.
He's got beautiful fingers and hands when he dances. They bend in such a pretty way. As a hmong dancer it's all in the way your hands look and his are beautiful
I hope he still attends some chinese traditional dance classes so he can maintain what he studied for years. The kpop dancing might ruin his form and everything:(
lauren kang hopefully not...usually us dancers retain some of our training, I stopped ballroom and Latin classes a decade ago but still remember an awful lot of the techniques and my muscle memory allows me to still know those dances without thinking but that may also be because I had a natural connection to the style and also because I went to university for performing arts 😂😂😂

I'm a new fan of wayv and nct127 Winwin is my bias and I never see him dance to other songs as much as ten and taeyong so I was kinda sad but when I saw him dance to lovely I felt so much better. And I love this dance too. I hope he gets more recognition. i know this is probably pretty late but winwin definitely is almost at a professional level of chinese dance. As a chinese dancer, this shows how much diversity chinese dance really has.
Agreed! It's so frustrating, you can tell he has great moves, except you can't see them, either because it's too dark, or the camera's fixated on his upper body. This poor man deserves so much better for all of his skill.

Sometimes I think about how Winwin was recruited, and I think SM thought they were getting a visual who can dance acceptably... they were absolutely not prepared for Winwin.

I've watched this before but wanted to watch it again and I've recommended for someone else to watch it but for the last 3 days trying to watch it on my phone it freezes at 0.42 and then the circle of doom appears no matter what I do with changing quality, skipping etc :(. Will have to try on laptop/TV after work as don't have time now :'(

I get that NCT's style is very different from traditional Chinese dance, but they could still incorporate elements of it in their performances like in The 7th Sense, Fire Truck or Lovely and finally give Winwin his time to shine or else they'll just waste his talent even further...
The camera should always show the full extension of a dancers body, I find it so annoying when the beauty of the dancer is chopped up. Winwin is such a talented dancer extraordinarily beautiful
In my opinion... The clip that sm presents doesnt show.the elegance/beautiful(?) of chinese traditional dance... Also... It will be a lot better if they use a really pure traditional music instead of adding modern elements into the music he dances... (Pls forgive for my poor english...)
I feel like hw could be such a good ballet dancer because he has already has the control and technique from traditional chinese dances and his lines are great.
