GOLF COURSE VLOG - ASHBURNHAM GOLF CLUB - PART 2
We are on a South Wales tour and our first stop is the stunning Ashburnham Golf Club.
Myself (Dan Hendriksen) and Brother Paul Hendriksen will be taking the fans favourite Lester Barnes and the big hitting Will Farley.
One of the classic Welsh links courses which celebrated it centenary in 1994. The Club has hosted a long line of important professional and amateur tournaments including the British Home International Team Championships on three occasions, Welsh Amateur Championship on twelve occasions along with more recently the 2015 Welsh Open Stroke Play Championship and was a qualifying venue for the 2014 Seniors Open Championship.
The famous Harry Vardon said: "This is the course I like best in Wales". His sentiments have been endorsed by more modern professionals. Three Ryder Cup Captains have won professional tournaments at Ashburnham, Dai Rees in the PGA Championship in 1959, Bernard Gallagher won his first tournament in the 1969 Schweppes Championship and it was here that Sam Torrance also gained his first title, the 1976 Martini.
Overlooking Carmarthen Bay, the course has it first two and final three holes near the clubhouse. Holes three to eight strike out, parallel to the sea, straight into the prevailing wind and holes nine to fifteen run back with the prevailing wind directly behind.
A real test off the back tees the course becomes a lot tamer off the general play tees offering a challenge to all levels of golfer especially in a slight wind. Ashburnham is a pure links experience.

The terrific golf aside, this is a really well put together piece of filming. If you watch regularly you can see the channel evolving. In my opinion, you’re the number 1 channel on you tube for golf content. Great channel. Well done lads 👍.

Loved the way wilbur styled out the run pretending he was coming to assist bernie, when I think could just hear the fault melody of a ice cream van in the distance.
Good second part loved Will’s aside about Lester’s putting also the fact that Will is going right with the driver! Cannot wait for the next part

guys Enjoying life & what they are dong is so refreshing....all about perspective!
I like so many things about this series and all of the others, knowing that very good golfers can and will hit slices and hooks, makes me not feel so bad when I do it. Takes a lot of pressure off me during a round. Also love the commentary prior to most shots and the all important “ why” behind the swing thought. Keep up the good work. Will and “ Captain chin strap” are a little off today. Must be very cold over there. Stay safe and warm boys. I read another lockdown is underway. Cheers.

This is a good match now all four players are taking part, lol. Some great shots on the course and great camera shots off it.
big thumbs up for all of the hard work in getting the different video angles/shots. Really like the slow-mo of the swings to see how yourself and the others hit driver etc and find the fairways
Banter is really hotting up, great fun.
That last par 3 can be really tough. We played it with wind into the tee shot and didn't hit the green with any club.
Loving the new camera angle for shots into the green. I would say that for me personally, the camera angles are great but they’re not the reason I watch. I watch for the fantastic content and that perfect balance between banter and serious high level golf. In my opinion, if these extra camera angles are adding a lot of time to putting these vlogs together then I’d say it’s not worth it but that’s just my opinion! Keep up the amazing work, the best on TH-cam currently

Lester was 'chirping' today for sure. I'm sorry to hear your in lockdown again since here in the states I feel safer playing golf than I do going to the grocery store.
That's so cool to see the slow motion for the different swings, I love how all 4 of them have such great rotation and extension after contacting the ball. Ahhhhh to be young and flexible again :)

New camera work is looking good. I feel for you on the editing though. Must be a nightmare chopping and cutting all that down for the final cut.
One thing I always love to see and You did this a couple of times, is Slo Mo directly Face On, but would also love to see some DTL slo mo, directly down the line of the hands at set up. Really helps to see how you guys are swinging, on plane, under/over plane, see how you shallow out the club etc. (Struggling so much with shallowing right now but am changing lots of parts of the swing and it’s a long journey as I’m drilling it in order to make it an unconscious movement).

At a lot of courses in Scotland during winter you have to play off those small mats from tee to green

Really enjoying the new camera work, real touch of class. Can you ask Bernie to give his thoughts on his choice of footwear, maybe at the Sunday show? Reason is that I need to start wearing orthopaedic footwear for my foot disability and I wondered if the tred Bernie was using was sufficient to grip the grass with. Thanks Dan.

Something I've noticed with the "longer hitters" in this vlog....at impact they're almost and in some cases off the ground, or there is minimal ground interaction.
I guess the better hitters just use ground forces better than us mortals.

Show Wilber driving on a 500 yard Par 5 against the wind, and then your drone do a triple speed (like it is following his ball down the course), and then show his ball sitting on the green , and all of you guys falling on the ground and laughing. Would be a great lead in to a vlog.
Great vlog so far guys... One comment, the camera switching is nice, but it's almost nauseating. I'm no expert, but there's a reason that they 'transition' the camera views on TV and what not. Again, amazing work, but the flash back and forth between views is a little much. My opinion only, hope you guys are well.

I was panicking about the peg holding down that divot mat. That would have put me right off my swing as it’s all I would have been thinking about. Bad design that is, make it longer.
